So begins the most beautiful and worrying deepfake video of 2020, a video that has as protagonist (in spite of herself) no less than Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom.

The video was made by the broadcaster Channel 4 to show to British subjects, but also to the rest of the world, the dangers of deepfakes, the videos made thanks to complex artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms that show famous people doing and saying things that, in reality, they have never said or done. Like Queen Elizabeth, who in this video pronounces incredible things and also does incredible things, like dancing on TikTok. The video, unlike other famous deepfakes like the ones featuring Barack Obama and Vladimir Putin, eventually reveals the trick and shows the set and the actress on whose figure the computer has projected the Queen's likeness.

Then the deepfake video of Queen Elizabeth gets into the swing of things with a dance for TikTok, complete with a hint of twerking, swimming and a final confetti explosion. About twenty seconds, thanks to which by now the viewer has clearly understood that the one on the video is not the real Queen of England, which introduce the final part: the unveiling of the set and the actress. And the risks of deepfakes.

To spread the message more widely, the deepfake video of Elizabeth II was also published on Twitter.
