Ancora una volta Xiaomi spariglia le carte con un prodotto che, ad un prezzo estremamente conveniente, porta all'utente la tecnologia migliore.
Che il 2021 sarebbe stato un anno di svolta per gli Smart TV, sia dal punto tecnologico che da quello del prezzo, lo avevano capito tutti a gennaio, in occasione del CES 2021 durante il quale Samsung, TCL ed LG hanno presentato le nuove gamme con tecnologia Mini LED. Che fosse possibile comprare uno Smart TV 75 pollici con tecnologia QLED e risoluzione 4K a 999 euro già a marzo, invece, se lo aspettavano in pochi.
Eppure è così: il nuovo Mi TV Q1 75" di Xiaomi, che sarà sul mercato a partire dal 10 marzo, avrà uno “street price" di 1.299 euro ma, in occasione del giorno di lancio, lo potremo acquistare a 999 euro. This is an extremely affordable price (it would seem a price for China, not Europe), both for the size of the panel and for the QLED technology implemented by Xiaomi, which is basically the "Quantum Dot" of Samsung. Xiaomi had already presented last year the 55 and 65 inch Mi TV 4S TVs, with very attractive prices: the larger of the two cost around 700 euros at launch. But these were not screens with QLED technology, far more valuable (and expensive for the manufacturer). Said in other words: the new Mi TV Q1 75" by Xiaomi is affordable already at 1,299 euros, but at 999 is a bargain practically unmissable.
Mi TV Q1 75" by Xiaomi: how it is made
Apart from the dimensions, definitely generous, the new Mi TV Q1 75" by Xiaomi is a Smart TV quite sober in design: it has thin bezels, but still not invisible and a simple aluminum pedestal. E’ grande 1,67×1,02 metri, con una profondità di 37 centimetri, quindi prima di comprarlo è bene prendere le misure in salotto.
Anche il peso va tenuto in considerazione: il Mi TV Q1 75" pesa 33 chilogrammi e ha bisogno di una base d’appoggio solida e stabile perché, se dovesse cadere addosso ad un bambino piccolo, potrebbe fargli decisamente male.
Mi TV Q1 75": la tecnologia
Entrando nei dettagli tecnici, quello più importante è senza dubbio la tecnologia QLED del pannello: è formato da 384 LED, che possono essere accesi e spenti in 192 zone di “dimming“. La risoluzione è la UHD 4K (3.840 x 2.160 pixel), mentre il refresh rate è pari a 120 Hz e l’angolo di visione massimo è pari a 178 gradi sia in orizzontale che in verticale. La luminosità massima è di 1.000 nits.
Questa televisione è compatibile con tutti i principali standard di espansione della gamma dinamica: HDR10, HDR10+, HLG e Dolby Vision. Xiaomi claims 95% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space, which is less than other competitors but more than enough for most users.
Mi TV Q1 75", finally, also compatible with Dolby Audio and DTs-HD standards and the audio compartment is of a decent level, with two speakers (equipped with two tweeters and four woofers) with a total power of 30 Watts.
Good connections: one HDMI 2.1 port, two HDMI 2.0 ports, Wi-Fi (both 2.4 and 5 GHz), an Ethernet port and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
The processor that handles all this is the MediaTek MT9611, flanked by 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of memory, which runs the Android TV 10 operating system.
Mi TV Q1 75": who it's suitable for
To understand who a TV like the Mi TV Q1 75" is suitable for, just look at competing products with similar features: Samsung offers 75-inch screens with QLED technology with prices starting at 1.500 euros or so, to spend less you have to give up the QLED panel.
It is clear that if the Mi TV Q1 75" costs 300 euros less (even 600 less, on the day of launch) can not offer the same quality and performance. But it is also true that not everyone is willing to spend 1,500 euros or more for a TV, because many would not know what to do with it.
Xiaomi, therefore, seems to aim once again to revolutionize the market with a product with a price/performance ratio never seen before. As has already happened with smartphones, then, it is possible that the new smart TV Xiaomi attract (especially at 999 euros) many buyers who until yesterday did not even consider putting in the house a television of this size.
