Almost one hundred years after its birth (it was founded in Berlin in 1923), the historic German brand of high-fidelity audio Loewe returns to be "heard" with a modern product centered on the current tastes of users. That is, to put it in just one word, with a soundbar. But not just any soundbar, as the name suggests: the Loeweklang bar5 mr is, in fact, a high-end soundbar for audiophiles.
It is a 5.1.2 audio system with a dedicated subwoofer, the Loeweklang sub5, created with the stated aim of offering customers a "superlative home cinema experience". And the assumptions are all there, at least to read the data sheet that starts from a figure, that of the total power of soundbar and sub together, equal to 800 watts. The design is also that of a premium product, and has already won a Red Dot Award and an iF Design Award, and is perfectly in line with that of Loewe's OLED Smart TV range. Finally, it is a soundbar compatible with the Loewe "Multiroom" platform: coupled with other speakers Loewe klang mr can bring the same audio source to multiple parts of the house.

As mentioned, the pair Loeweklang sub5 + klang sub5 delivers a total of 800 Watts of power. To be precise, the soundbar alone has a peak power of 440 Watts (220W RMS), while the subwoofer has a peak power of another 360 Watts (180W RMS).
The soundbar has the dimensions of 1200x71x160 millimeters and weighs 6.5 kilograms, while the subwoofer is a cylinder other 32.1 centimeters with a base diameter 38 centimeters, for a weight of 8.8 kilograms.
The system is compatible with the best standards to improve the quality and spatiality of audio: Dolby Atmos, Dolby Atmos Music, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, DTS: X, DTS Virtual: X. As for connections, however, in addition to Bluetooth 4.2 we find two HDMI 2.0 inputs with 4K Video Pass-Through, Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HDR10+, an eARC, an optical digital input, the 2.5 mm analog jack, WiFi and a USB port to play music on a stick or external disk.
There is also compatibility with Google and Apple audio broadcasting systems: Google Chromecast built in and Apple AirPlay 2, thanks to which you can also use multi-room.
Soundbar Loeweklang bar5 + klang sub5: how much does it cost
From such an audio device you can not expect a popular price. In fact, the audio system consisting of the Loeweklang bar5 and the Loeweklang sub5 has a "premium" price as much as the product itself: the pair costs 1,359 euros in total.
Soundbar and subwoofer will be available in days on the European market, including in Italy.
