The Louvre Museum goes digital and lands online: the collection of nearly 500,000 works of art can be seen on the internet

Visit the spectacular works of art of the Louvre Museum from the comfort of your couch at home. One of the most famous museums in the world, home to masterpieces such as Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa, has gone digital with an exhibition of nearly 500,000 works of art online.

For the first time, the famous French museum is making its works available to users free of charge, allowing them to consult them directly on the Internet. In addition to the masterpieces of the Louvre, it will also be possible to see other works that are being restored in the laboratories and come from other museums, including the Musée National Eugène-Delacroix, the Musées Nationaux Récupération and the Tuileries and Carrousel gardens. All this is possible thanks to a dedicated portal, where it will be possible to take virtual tours of the works on display and learn about their details and stories, just as if the visitor were walking through the corridors of the French museum.
