Maker Faire, Industry 4.0 great protagonist

Now in its fifth edition, Maker Faire Rome 2017 is one of the most important appointments for professionals and lovers of digital innovation

The countdown has begun and marks 136 days to the start of Maker Faire Rome - The European Edition, the event dedicated to European technological innovation, which will be held in the Italian capital from 1 to 3 December and open to schools, universities and professionals.

Organized by the Innova Camera Special Agency of the Rome Chamber of Commerce, Maker Faire Rome is one of the most important appointments for professionals and lovers of digital innovation, as also demonstrated by the high number of attendees that the event registers every year. In 2016, in fact, there were about 110 thousand accesses. At Maker Faire anyone can present prototypes, inventions and other innovative projects. At the event, in fact, in addition to schools, universities and companies, even simple individuals who are passionate about technology can take part.

Themes that will be covered at Maker Faire Rome 2017

At Maker Faire Rome 2017 there will be space for different categories of inventions, ranging from the Internet of Things, food, art, music up to crafts. The Maker Faire will also be a great opportunity to present and learn about Industry 4.0 projects. In a particular way, the fair will be important for automation, a great protagonist of the initiated digitization of companies.

How to enroll

To participate, interested parties must respect the timing of the "calls". The Call For School is dedicated to inventions from Italian and European secondary schools. Projects must be submitted by October 20.

Companies, artisans and individuals must, instead, use the "Call For Makers," which will expire on September 15. The "Call for Universities and Reserch Institutes" is for technology ideas from state universities and public research institutes: applications can be submitted until Sept. 30.
