Xiaomi Mi5s

Two versions of the Mi5s are available: one with 3GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage and another with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. The Full HD display has a size of 5.15', while the SoC is the Snapdragon Qualcomm 821 paired with the Adreno 530 GPU. The camera compartment includes a twelve-megapixel Sony rear camera and a four-megapixel front-facing camera. The battery will be 3,200 mAh with Quick Charge 3.0 that allows you to charge the smartphone in just over an hour. In addition, the Mi5s will have an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor: there will be no physical button, but just bring your finger close to the screen to be able to unlock the smartphone. Finally, the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage version will feature a pressure-sensitive screen: depending on the force impressed by the user, it will be possible to access different functions of the Mi5s. For the 3GB/64 GB version, the price will be around 270 euros while for the 4GB/128 version, the price increase will be about 40 euros. The smartphone will be available in China from September 29, while for Europe still no news leaks.

Mi5s Plus, technical specifications, price and release

The differences between the Mi5s and Mi5s Plus are not only about the size of the screen, but also the power of RAM and the photographic compartment. But let's go in order. The display is 5.7' with a Full HD resolution, while the SoC remains the Snapdragon 821 paired with the Adreno 530 GPU. The RAM memory will be either 4GB or 6GB depending on the model purchased. The internal memory will also vary depending on the model: two versions will be available, one with 64GB and one with 128GB. But the biggest news concerns the photographic compartment: in fact, the Mi5s Plus will feature a dual rear camera: one will capture color images, the other will be dedicated to black and white. The front camera remains 4GB. Compared to its smaller brother, the Mi5s Plus loses both the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and the technology that recognizes finger pressure. An important loss for a smartphone that wants to attack the market. Finally, the battery will be 3,800 mAh with QuickCharge 3.0 charging. The smartphone will be available in China from September 29 at a price of 310 euros for the 4GB/64Gb version, while for the 6Gb/128Gb model you will need to pay around 350 euros.
