Ninja says goodbye to Fortnite: here’s why

The most famous online Fortnite player has decided to suspend live streaming of his matches for some time. Worries about his health

Tough times for Tyler "Ninja" Blevins, the most famous Fortnite gamer in the world. If at the end of June the blue-haired boy failed to qualify, either in pairs or singles mode, at the World Cup in New York, now Ninja is forced to temporarily stop live videos of Fortnite Battle Royale.

It was the same player to give the news through a tweet in which he claims to have been affected by a nasty and painful infection in the right eye and has begun a treatment based on antibiotics: "There will be no streaming today, my eye is disgusting and I look like a pirate with a blood red eye. I'm taking antibiotics, so hopefully I'll be better tomorrow."

Ninja: fans' concern

Ninja is constantly followed by a doctor and has assured his many fans on YouTube and Twitch that he will be back up and running within 24 hours. Many comments from the gamer community have expressed some concern. To exacerbate it also a previous health problem happened before Ninja became a worldwide phenomenon. In particular, fans and enthusiasts took up a tweet published in August 2014 where the famous streamer complained of a possible detachment of the retina of the right eye that, according to him, could have led to blindness.

Ninja: not only gaming

Last May Ninja reached the stratospheric number of over 14 million followers on Twitch, recording an average of over 40,000 views per week. But that's not all: after launching his own line of toys, gadgets and merchandise, the streamer is ready to enter the world of offline publishing with a strategy guide and a graphic novel.

Tyler has in fact signed a contract with the publishing house Ebury Press with which he will publish in August a volume entitled "Get Good. My Ultimate Guide to Gaming", a collection of advices offered by Ninja about equipment, strategies to play and to organize streaming, training sessions and other useful tips to train and become the next Ninja.

A school diary with a set of stickers will be released in August, while next December will be the turn of the graphic novel written by Justin Jordan and illustrated by Felipe Magana: "Ninja The Most Dangerous Game".
