Nokia 9 confirmed by HMD: coming with a very large screen

The Finnish smartphone company has announced the arrival of a new smartphone with a very large screen and Snapdragon 835

The presentation of the Nokia 8 did not only serve to show the first top of the range product from HMD Global, but also to illustrate the future moves of the Finnish company. On the sidelines of the presentation, a senior representative of HMD Global would have confirmed the launch of the Nokia 9, a smartphone with top of the range features with a very large screen (between 5.7 and 6.3 inches).

For several months there have been rumors about the possible arrival of the Nokia 9, but with the presentation of the Nokia 8 many had thought that the project had been scuttled. In reality, this is not the case and the phablet could see the light very soon, sooner than users can imagine. In fact, the development of the smartphone would be at an advanced stage and HMD Global could present it even before the end of the year. The device should also have a design quite different from what we've seen with the Nokia 8: the bezels will be very thin and the screen will occupy a large percentage of the front (as already seen with the Galaxy S8 and LG G6).

The technical specifications of the Nokia 9

Under the profile of the performance Nokia 9 and Nokia 8 will be very similar. The Nokia 9 should mount a Snapdragon 835 chipset supported by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It is not excluded that the Finnish company opts for a different solution, mounting 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. As mentioned, the distinguishing feature of the Nokia 9 will be the screen that should have a size between 5.7 and 6.3 inches.  From an image posted online emerges another possible novelty of the Nokia 9: the bezel-less design, that is, with very thin screen bezels. The photographic compartment will be identical to that already seen on the Nokia 8 with the dual rear camera made by Carl Zeiss. There will also be a Bothie mode that allows you to take a picture using both the front and rear cam at the same time.

The Nokia 9 could also have two other premium features: IP68 certification that protects it from water and dust and iris scanning to unlock the screen. The Nokia 9 is expected to hit the market at a price of €749.
