OnePlus 10 Pro will have super-fast charging

The well-known leaker Digital Chat Station has revealed some details about the incredible charging performance of the new OnePlus 10 Pro: here's what we can expect

The closer we get to the presentation dates of the new top of the range in 2022, the more we are inundated with indiscretions and rumors sometimes adhering to reality, but sometimes not: we should always take them with caution and select only the sources that have proven to be more reliable over time. This is the case of OnePlus 10 Pro, which is about to introduce a charging technology even better than its predecessor, both wired and wireless.

The rumors come from a post on Weibo of the well-known leaker Digital Chat Station, which revealed some interesting details about the specifications of the next top of the range of the Chinese company. Although some of them were already known, the information regarding the charging speed is completely unpublished and discordant with what other rumors had anticipated. In fact, someone had speculated the use of a 125-watt technology. Some information has also been leaked about the version of Android that we will find on board OnePlus 10, but it is likely that we will have to wait a few more months to get the confirmations.

OnePlus 10 Pro, how fast will the charging

According to the latest rumors, OnePlus 10 Pro should take advantage of a charging technology incredibly fast, surpassing even by much its predecessor. The OnePlus 9 could already rely on 65-watt charging, but the introduction of Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor allows for a further upgrade on the upcoming top of the line.

In particular, we should find at least 80-watt technology on the Pro variant. However, we don't know if this will affect all OnePlus 10 models or if there could be differences between the various versions. A similar development could involve the use of 50 Watt wireless charging, through the company's charger.

OnePlus 10 Pro, the latest rumors

The details on charging certainly create a lot of expectations, but another not insignificant aspect concerns the software. OnePlus 10 could be the first to adopt Android 12 with a graphical interface strongly inspired by ColorOS, present on Oppo smartphones.

The display of OnePlus 10 Pro should be an AMOLED type LPTO with a diagonal of 6.7 inches, a very high resolution and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. As for the hardware, in addition to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, we could expect 8 or 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128 and 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The battery should have a capacity of 5,000 mAh.

The photo compartment should feature a 32-megapixel selfie camera and a triple rear camera with 48, 50 and 8-megapixel sensors and a 3x zoom. As a reminder, the OnePlus 10 series might debut in China a bit earlier than in other countries, but there are no firm indications about dates yet.
