The new OnePlus 8T smartphone has been announced and the features are top-of-the-line: 65W fast charging and 120 Hz display
Just 39 minutes to charge the smartphone to 100%: this is the promise of the OnePlus 8T that supports 65W fast charging. The Chinese OnePlus has announced its new top-of-the-line smartphone, which will also count on a display with 120 Hz refresh rate and support for the 5G connectivity standard.
The smartphone supports the new Warp Charge 65 technology developed by the Chinese company, which is able to charge a 4500 mAh battery, such as the one equipped on OnePlus 8T, up to almost 58% in 15 minutes and get a full charge in just 39 minutes. The top of the range also turns out to be excellent in the camera compartment, with a four-sensor configuration and the 48-megapixel main one. OnePlus 8T will not have a Pro version, as with its predecessor, but will give users a choice of two variants: one with 8GB of RAM and the other with 12GB.
OnePlus 8T, the features
OnePlus 8T is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, a 5G Snapdragon X55 modem and Adreno 650 GPU. The smartphone can count on two memory versions: one with 8 GB of RAM and 128 Gb of internal storage, and the other with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. The 6.55-inch screen is a Fluid AMOLED with 20:9 ratio and 2400×1080 resolution with 402 ppi and mainly 120 Hz refresh rate. The fingerprint reading sensor is integrated into the display, which is protected by a durable, fingerprint-proof Corning Gorilla Glass.
In the bottom bezel are two stereo speakers with noise cancellation support. The battery is 4500 mAh, but the highlight is the support for Warp Charge 65 fast charging. OnePlus' smartphone is also the first one based on Android 11, with the manufacturer's OxygenOS interface.
OnePlus 8T, the camera compartment
The OnePlus 8T's camera compartment is great and consists of a four-sensor setup on the back. The main sensor is a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586, while the secondary is a 16-megapixel wide-angle lens and then you have a 5-megapixel macro sensor and a 2-megapixel monochrome for black and white photos, as well as a dual LED flash.
The rear camera is capable of shooting up to 4K video with 30 fps 3 60 fps, as well as time-lapse videos. As for the front camera on the other hand, it is a 16-megapixel Sony IMX471, which can shoot videos up to 1080p and 30fps and in time-lapse.
OnePlus 8T, price and launch date
The new top-of-the-line OnePlus 8T was presented on October 14 by the Chinese company, which opened pre-orders until October 19. Then starting on October 20, the phone will go on sale in Europe, while in the United States it will hit the market from October 23. The smartphone is available in Aquamarine Green and Lunar Silver colors, and prices are 599 euros for the version with 8 GB RAM and 699 euros for the one with 12 GB RAM.
