The Chinese manufacturer presents the new mid-high-end smartphones with 5-generation mobile network compatibility. Below average prices
The Oppo Reno 2 smartphones are still very recent (in fact, they were presented a few months ago and have recently been updated in software and firmware) but the Chinese manufacturer has already announced the Reno 3 family, consisting of two mid-range smartphones: Oppo Reno 3 5G and Oppo Reno 3 Pro 5G.
As you can guess from the name, both smartphones are born with native support for the new fast 5G network. They were presented in China, where they will arrive soon, while it is not yet known when they will arrive in Europe and other markets. It is conceivable that Oppo plans the international launch by the first half of 2020, when even in Europe the 5G network will begin to be more widespread and more mature. For the rest, connection aside, these are two average smartphones with excellent features and that, in addition to the display, they differ from each other especially for the photographic sector and the processor used.
Oppo Reno 3 Pro 5G: features and price
The Oppo Reno 3 Pro 5G has a 6.5-inch display in AMOLED technology, with a resolution of 2,400×1080 pixels, integrated fingerprint sensor and refresh rate up to 90 Hz. It is a 20:9 screen, with Gorilla Glass 5 and notch hole for the central camera. The processor is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765, the mid-range model of Qualcomm's new generation of SoCs, and is joined by an Adreno 620 GPU, 8 or 12 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of storage.
The rear camera compartment has four sensors: 48 MP main camera, 8 MP wide-angle, 13 MP telephoto and a 2 MP monochrome sensor. The selfie camera is an impressive 32 MP. The battery is 4,020 mAh with charging up to 30 Watts, while the operating system is Android 10 with ColorOS 7 user interface. In China, the Oppo Reno 3 Pro 5G will have a base price of 3,999 yuan, or about 520 euros.
Oppo Reno 3 5G
The less powerful version of the mid-range of the new Oppo Reno 3 series will have a MediaTek Dimensity 1000L processor, still octacore like the Snapdragon 765, but less powerful. The GPU will be a Mali-G77 MC9, the RAM of 8 or 12 GB. Only one cut for the internal memory: 128 GB. Identical battery, while the screen is always AMOLED but 6.4 inches and with maximum refresh rate of 60 Hz. The front camera is the same as the Pro model, while the rear camera department is completely different, with three sensors: the main 64 MP, the secondary 8 MP and a monochrome 2 MP. In China, the Oppo Reno 3 5G will have a base price of 3,399 yuan, or about 430 euros.
