Oppo Reno 6: what the new mid-range smartphones look like and when they arrive

The Oppo Reno series has always been appreciated for the right compromise between quality, price and performance and also this year the Oppo Reno 6 should not disappoint anyone.

The Oppo Reno 6 series is now in the home stretch. And, thanks to the first unofficial photo, you can also outline the design of these new devices, adding new information to the leaks circulating on the network but still all to be confirmed. How will they be - presumably - the new devices? Let's find out.

According to the first rumors, the smartphones of the Oppo Reno 6 series will belong as every year to the mid-range proposals, characterized by a technical level and an affordable price to the pockets of most, since certainly will not end up on the market to staggering figures as happens with many flagships in circulation. According to the well-informed of the network, the available models will be three, namely Oppo Reno 6, Reno 6 Pro and Reno 6 Pro +, linked by a common thread but, at the same time, well recognizable for some distinctive features. Between leaks, certifications and first sightings, here are the data that allow us to make our first acquaintance with the three alternatives.

Oppo Reno 6, batteries, cameras and display

Starting from the information "certain", certainly one of the devices of the series Oppo Reno 6 has received a TENAA certification that allows, therefore, to take a first look at the inside and outside of the device. The device in question is indicated by the initials PEXM00, a code that refers precisely to the Reno series but unfortunately does not provide other indications. The certification tells us of a device with dimensions of 159.1 x 73.4 x 7.9 mm, with a dual-cell 4,200mAh battery, a detail that opens the door to rapid charging. Whether it is, however, that at 65W or even faster (it is rumored, even, of 200W for the Pro +) has not yet been confirmed.

Also the photo module changes compared to the past. The Reno 6 series would differ from the previous one for a detail, a demarcation line that acts as a boundary between the main lenses placed vertically and the vertical block of LED sensors. Still on the subject, the leaker DigitalChatStation would confirm the presence of two modules of 8MP (Sony IMX355, probably the wide angle lens) and 2MP (OV02B10, probably the depth sensor) , leaving out, however, information on the main lens.

Oppo Reno 6, processori e prestazioni

This is a data that would go to confirm what has just been said, at least on the presence of the SoC of Qualcomm.

Oppo Reno 6, launch date and price

The date of presentation of the three devices of the Oppo Reno 6 series is not yet certain: we speak of May 22, or the ceremony Zheijang satellite tv x Oppo scheduled for May 31, as confirmed by the leaker Digital Madness. Information about the price is also vague: DigitalChatStation announced a figure of about 2500/3000 yuan, or 320/380 euros for the basic model of Oppo Reno 6.
