After many rumors and anticipations, the first official confirmations arrive: Google is ready to launch on May 7 two new low-cost smartphones. These are the Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL. The name has been made official by the same Mountain View company on its official store, while the date has been leaked by the people who worked on the project.
Google has decided to anticipate the timing and not wait until October for the presentation of new devices. The Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL will be the first low-cost smartphones produced by Google and will fit into a price range manned by all the major companies. The two phones are mid-range, with hardware very similar to devices produced by Huawei and Xiaomi. According to the latest rumors, the Pixel 3a will mount the Snapdragon 670 chipset, while the Pixel 3a XL will have the Snapdragon 710 on board. The two smartphones will also have some features of its older brother, the Pixel 3. We're talking about the photographic compartment: both will mount the 12.2 Megapixel rear camera, considered among the best on the market. Here's how the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL will look like.
Features Pixel 3a
The Pixel 3a will be characterized by having a screen with a fairly small size and thin bezels, but there will be neither the notch nor the hole on the screen. On board we will find the Snapdragom 670 supported by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of non-expandable internal storage. The screen is 5.6 inches with FullHD+ resolution and aspect ratio of 18:9.
Very interesting is the photo compartment. In the front we find an 8-megapixel camera, while in the rear a 12.2-megapixel sensor, the same present on the Pixel 3. The smartphone will use the same algorithms of the "big brother" and will ensure shots from true top of the range.
The Pixel 3a will also have the audio jack, inserted at the top of the smartphone. The battery should be 3000mAh.

The Pixel 3a XL will be quite different from the Pixel 3a. On board we find the Snapdragon 710 chipset with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of non-expandable internal storage to support it. The screen will be 6 inches with FullHD+ resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. The design will be characterized by bezels rather evident and will not be present the notch.
The photo section will be the same as the Pixel 3a: in the rear will find place a 12.2 megapixel sensor, while in the front the camera will be 8 megapixels.
Also here will be present the audio jack and the battery should be 3430mAh.

According to the latest rumors, the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL will be presented on May 7, during Google I/O 2019, the event that every year the Mountain View company organizes for developers. For the official release on the market we will have to wait until the end of May.
