Poste down, app and home banking don’t work: what’s going on

The Post Office has been down since 21:30 this evening: the app and the home banking service don't work and you can't carry out any operation

Since 21:45 on June 16, the BancoPosta app and the home banking service from the PC have been down: those who try to access them can't complete any operation, nor can they see the balance of their current account. The same is true for the PostePay app: after having entered one's credentials, the application remains loading for an indefinite time without giving any response. We do not know the reasons that are leading to this inefficiency, but the only thing that is certain is that it is affecting all of Italy.

On downdetector.it hundreds of reports have already arrived from users and by reading the comments you can get a clearer view of what is happening. The Post Office app and website are down and some people are also complaining about the impossibility of making online payments and withdrawing money from ATMs. We read comments from people who have not been able to do their shopping because BancoPosta is not working. Surely the technicians are working to solve the problem as soon as possible.

Why doesn't the app and the homebanking service of the Post Office work

A rather serious problem that is afflicting the online (and also offline) services of the Post Office. Those who try to access home banking via PC or from the smartphone app are unable to complete any operation. The application remains loading after entering the credentials and no error message is received. In some cases, the error code "GC01" appears.

Some users also talk about having problems with in-store payments while they were shopping: you can't complete the transaction. We don't know what these inefficiencies are due to, but it is certain that technicians are already working to solve everything as soon as possible. We will keep you updated.

Update at 22:30. The problem has been fixed.
