PostePay and BancoPosta app not working since 1:40 pm on April 26: users can't access their profile. Here's what's happening

The BancoPosta app and the PostePay app are not working. As of 1:40 p.m. on April 26, it is not possible to access one's personal profile via the two Poste Italiane applications. The problem, at the moment, seems to concern only the access via the app, since the website is working properly. The test was carried out directly by the editorial staff of Libero Tecnologia.
What is happening to the PostePay and BancoPosta applications? Very simple: when you try to launch them from the smartphone, after entering the credentials and the PosteID code, a warning message appears "A problem has occurred, please try again later (ERR-7)". At the moment the causes of the inefficiency are not known, and there are no official comments from Poste Italiane either. Most likely it is a temporary malfunction that has affected the PostePay app and the BancoPosta app. Surely the technicians are already working to resolve the situation as soon as possible.
Why the BancoPosta and PostePay apps don't work
From 13:40 it is impossible to access one's current account through the BancoPosta app and the same happens for users who have a PostePay, also in this case the app is down. In just a few minutes, hundreds of users have reported the problem, as can be seen from the website downdetector.com, which collects comments from people when an app or service does not work.
The problem only affects the BancoPosta and PostePay apps: accessing from the Poste Italiane website, the service works correctly. On the other hand, those who access from the two apps receive a message on the screen informing them that there is a problem and to try again later. In addition to the message there is also an error code (ERR-7), but it is not known what it corresponds to. Technicians are definitely working to restore the service as soon as possible.
