The Digital version with Internet connection only, on the other hand, will cost $399/euro.

Xbox Series X: how much it costs and when it comes out

Always according to the Italian leaker, the Xbox Series X will come out on November 6, 2020, following by one day the launch of the cheaper Xbox Series S, which will be available from November 5. The price of the former will be $499/euros, while that of the latter will be $299/euros.

Can we believe it?

If the information reported by Roberto Serrano turns out to be correct, then within a week as many as four new consoles will be presented, just in time for the Christmas market. The dates, in principle, are credible because they reflect what the respective manufacturers have already said: if the launch won't happen exactly in those days, in fact, it's likely to happen a little before or a little after.

As for the prices, instead, we can see how the two top of the range consoles have the same cost for the end user, while the economic versions don't. In the first case, it wouldn't be strange: 499 euros or dollars is actually a psychological threshold, beyond which most users won't be willing to go. Sony and Microsoft may have decided to set that price even at the cost of earning little or nothing on each unit sold, in order to sell many of them and earn later from the licenses collected for each game sold by individual developers. A PS5 Digital at €399, on the other hand, sounds very strange: it would be exactly in the middle between Sony's most expensive model and Microsoft's cheapest one.
