Redmi 10 arrives in Italy, and it does so with a number of interesting technical features compared to the price: here's availability and how much it costs
There are few companies that can keep up with Xiaomi and Redmi on the cheaper end of the market. Not everyone has the possibility or the desire to spend hundreds of euros on a new smartphone, but all or almost all of those considering the purchase of a cheap product go first to check the Xiaomi/Redmi price list.
The reason is that first Xiaomi then Redmi - the latter is a company created by the former about two years ago - have conquered their customers on the basis of a sometimes exaggerated value for money, a reputation won with merit whose effects persist to this day. In fact, Redmi has not pushed less in terms of maximizing technical features over price, and the market numbers say that this choice has paid off. Redmi is one of the most appreciated companies in Italy that now brings in the Belpaese another product that will appeal to many: it is Redmi 10, a product that with a low cost offers a lot, like the recent (but different, because it is a tablet) Xiaomi Pad 5.
Redmi 10: technical specifications
Redmi 10 has a 6.5-inch display, very large and therefore perfect for games and multimedia content, with Full HD+ resolution (1,080 x 2,400 pixels) and refresh rate ranging between 45 and 90 Hz, depending on the activity performed and the content you view. It is protected by a Gorilla Glass 3 from Corning.
The chip of Redmi 10 is a Helio G88 from MediaTek, octa core at 2 GHz maximum operating frequency. Produced with 12-nanometer technology, it is flanked by a Mali-G52 GPU. Three memory configurations: 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, 4/128 GB and 6/128 GB, with the possibility of expansion via microSD.
To the 8-megapixel f/2.0 front camera, are added the four rear cameras: the main 50 MP f/1.8, the ultra wide-angle 8 MP f/2.2 with 120-degree viewing angle, a 2 MP macro and finally a 2 MP that improves the blur in portraits. Video recording can be done at a maximum of 1080p and 30 fps.
The fingerprint reader is placed on the side, there is NFC for payments and in terms of connectivity only 5G support is missing.The Redmi 10 is a dual SIM LTE smartphone with dual band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, FM radio, headphone input with 3.5 mm audio jack and dual system speakers for stereo effect. There's also an infrared emitter that makes it take on the functions of a remote control.
The user interface is MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11, the battery is 5,000 mAh with fast charging at 18 watts via the included 22.5-watt USB-C charger.
Redmi 10: availability and price
Redmi 10 is available for purchase in Italy in Carbon Gray, Pebble White and Sea Blue colors in two memory variants: the 4/64 GB is proposed at 199.90 euros list while the 4/128 GB at 229.90 euros with shipping included, if you buy it from the official portal of Xiaomi where they are also proposed two "insurance" Mi Protect, for screen damage or accidental.
