Ricarica+ from 5 and 10 euros TIM, how to ask for a refund

Tim allows users who made a mistake in buying a recharge to ask for a refund: here's how to do it

If there is a move that, in recent months, has cast further bad light on the already much criticized Italian telephone operators, it is certainly to introduce recharges with attached "premium" service, which offer less credit than the amount paid. Offers such as, for example, Tim's Ricarica+ of 5 and 10 euros, with 4 and 9 euros real credit.

To this move, made at the beginning of 2019, some consumer associations had responded by asking and obtaining a meeting with the company, since at the time it had become virtually impossible to find at the official sales channels Tim recharges "standard", that is, without additional services and with full credit. This led many users to believe that they were buying standard top-ups, while instead they were buying "premium" top-ups. In short, a lot of confusion for everyone to which Tim has in turn responded by changing the name of Recharge + in "Offer Recharge +" and with a procedure for obtaining a refund in case of purchase of the wrong top-up. But, even in this case, with a big limitation.

What are the Ricarica+ of Tim

They have been defined as "premium" recharges. And in a short time the main Italian telephone operators have implemented them in their offers (Tim, Vodafone and Wind). Tim has called them "Ricariche+": what is the peculiarity? The activation of additional services that are paid with a share of the recharge. For example, if you buy the Ricarica+ of 10 euros you get 9 euros of credit and a day of unlimited calls, SMS and internet.

How to get a refund of the Ricarica+ of Tim

The refund of the Ricarica+ is not automatic: it is up to the customer to prove that he made the wrong purchase. The customer must therefore call 119 or ask for chat assistance and explain that he made a mistake in buying Ricarica+ and, if all goes well, Tim will refund him 1 euro or 2 euro (respectively for Ricarica+ denominations of 5 and 10 euro and for those of 15, 20 or 30 euro). Of course, the customer will also lose the additional promotion, i.e. unlimited minutes and Giga for 24 hours (or for 3 days, in the case of higher recharge denominations). All this can be done only once, because from the second Tim will consider the customer already informed about the difference between the two recharges and will refuse to make the refund.

Recharge and Recharge Offer +: the cuts available today

At this point it is useful, for clarity, to remember the standard and "premium" recharge cuts available at the moment. Traditional top-ups are available in denominations of 4, 5, 6, 10, 12, 15, 17, 20, 22, 25, 30, 50, 80, 100, 150 and 200 euros. The Ricarica+ offer is available in denominations of 5, 10, 15, 20 and 30 euros with, respectively, 4, 9, 13, 18 and 28 euros of actual credit. Recharge+ offer of €5 and €10 offers 24 hours of unlimited minutes and Giga, higher denominations offer 3 days of unlimited minutes and Giga.
