Samsung accidentally unveils the Galaxy S20 FE

The launch of the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE is just around the corner: an "oversight" by Samsung confirms it and gives us new information

The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE "Fan Edition", one of the most anticipated devices from the Korean manufacturer, is ready to launch: Samsung itself, in fact, accidentally published the page related to this device on its official Philippine website.

The page was quickly removed and is no longer visible and, in any case, was not complete: only some of the specifications were visible and there was no official selling price. There were, however, photos showing what the final Samsung Galaxy S20 FE looks like and what its internal code is: SM-G780FZBGXTC. At this point it's clear that there's really little left before Samsung puts the Galaxy S20 FE on sale, although from the published page it would seem that only two of the six colors speculated so far will be available immediately. But this could only apply to the Philippine market and not in Europe as well.

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE: what it will look like

Let's start from what was visible in the page first published and then removed by Samsung. The Galaxy S20 FE will be sold with 128 GB of RAM, will be dual SIM and will be available in Cloud Navy or Cloud Lavendar color. The official renders are exactly the same as those published in recent days by well-known leaker Evan Blass and show a small hole in the screen for the front camera and three cameras at the rear, flanked by the LED flash.

The main camera should be a 12 MP f/1.8 with optical stabilizer, the other two a 12 MP wide angle and an 8 MP tele with 3X optical. The front camera, on the other hand, would be a 32 MP. A quite inferior photographic compartment, therefore, to that of the Galaxy S20/S20+ which includes a 12MP+12MP+12MP setup (and 3D ToF sensor for the Galaxy S20+).

The display should be a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED FHD+ in size, with 120 Hz refresh rate. The real doubt, however, concerns the main processor: it is likely that Samsung will use its Exynos 990 for the 4G version and Qualcomm's Snapdragon 865 for the 5G one. In both cases the RAM would be 6 GB.

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE: price and launch date

On the launch date of the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE there is little to say: there is not much missing and the incident on the Philippine site of Samsung confirms it. The doubt, if anything, is whether the launch of this device will take place simultaneously on all markets or if in Europe we will have to wait a little longer.

As for the price, however, the most credible assumptions are those that speak of a figure between 700 and 800 euros.
