Samsung Galaxy S20 official: super screen and lots of power

Samsung unveils the new Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy S20 Ultra. Here's what the South Korean company's 2020 top-of-the-line smartphones look like

Samsung takes the wraps off the new Galaxy S20 smartphone family, the first top-of-the-line launched by the South Korean company in this 2020. A smartphone, or rather smartphones, highly anticipated by both the press and the public. In total there are five devices launched by Samsung: two in LTE version, three with support for the 5G network.

And it is precisely the 5G the feature on which the South Korean company bets most for the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy S20 Ultra. 2020 will be the year of 5G and Samsung doesn't want to be found unprepared. In the first Galaxy Unpacked 2020 there was room not only for the Galaxy S20, but also for the Galaxy Z Flip (flexible smartphone with clamshell design) and the Galaxy Buds+ (new wireless headphones). Here are the features, price and release date in Italy of the Samsung Galaxy S20.

Features Galaxy S20

The Galaxy S20 represents the base model of Samsung's new top-of-the-line smartphones, what last year was the Galaxy S10e. It is the only device produced in two versions: one LTE, the other 5G. Being a top of the range on board we find the Exynos 990 chipset supported by 12GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory expandable via microSD. The screen has a 6.2-inch diagonal with FullHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.

There are three rear cameras: two 12-megapixel and 64-megapixel telephoto lens. The hybrid optical zoom goes up to 3x. The smartphone allows you to record videos up to 8K resolution super stabilized thanks to the Super Steady 2.0 feature. Battery of 4,000 mAh.

Data Sheet Galaxy S20+

A little bit bigger, with an extra camera and only in 5G version. This is how we can sketch the Galaxy S20+, the second of the three smartphones presented by Samsung. The screen is 6.4 inches characterized by the front hole with the camera inside. The fourth camera is dedicated to macro shots. Larger battery to ensure better autonomy. For the rest, the two devices are identical, including charging at 25W.

Features Galaxy S20 Ultra

Ultra in every sense. With the Galaxy S20 Ultra you enter the premium smartphone bracket and not just because of the price. The dimensions are important (6.7-inch diagonal), but the QuadHD+ screen with 120Hz refresh rate improves the usability of the device. The data sheet is very similar to that of the previous two devices, with the only addition of the version with 512GB of internal memory.

The main sensor is not 12 Megapixels, but 108 Megapixels. The other sensors and the technology used for zooming also differ. The Galaxy S20 Ultra, in fact, has a 10x zoom that goes up to 100x thanks to artificial intelligence. For video games, a special feature has been developed that optimizes the performance of the smartphone. The Single Take function, on the other hand, is designed for photography lovers: with a single touch on the smartphone you can simultaneously use all the cameras on the device. The battery supports super fast charging at 45W.
