According to the latest rumors, the next top of the range produced by the Korean company will be equipped with voice assistant like iPhone and Pixel
In order not to lose ground to rivals, Samsung is also ready to launch a new voice recognition system. Like Google, Microsoft and Apple, the Galaxy S8 will have a digital assistant equipped with artificial intelligence.
The Korean company in fact has applied to register a new trademark, Bixby. Aside from the name, no further technical details are known yet. In all likelihood, the smart voice control system that Samsung has in mind will appear on the next top of the range. This latest indiscretion adds to the rumors that have been surrounding the launch of the Galaxy S8 for a few weeks now. Sebbene ancora manchino diversi mesi, la rete si è già scatenata, soprattutto dopo le parole del vice presidente del settore mobile dell’azienda, Lee Kyeong-tae. Secondo il manager, infatti, il Galaxy S8 avrà un design rinnovato, una fotocamera migliorata e un nuovo sistema di AI.

Ci sono inoltre altri indizi che confermano come Samsung, al pari degli altri competitor, stia puntando seriamente sull’intelligenza artificiale. L’azienda coreana infatti recentemente ha acquisito Viv Labs, una società americana che ha partecipato alla creazione di Siri, l’aiutante virtuale presente nei prodotti Apple. Non si sa comunque se Samsung sfrutterà il know-how di Viv Labs per la realizzazione del Galaxy S8.
