Carrie Bradshaw and her historical friends are back to tell their life story between love, friendship and career in New York in the highly anticipated Sex and the city sequel. The new series coming soon on Sky is called And just like that and the official date has been announced: not long before the arrival on television.

The sequel to Sex and the city resumes the story of the group of friends, but where there is a big absentee: Samantha, played by Kim Cattrall. Among the confirmed characters instead Charlotte and Miranda, played by Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon, and of course Sarah Jessica Parker in the role of the protagonist Carrie. And just like that focuses on the new period of life of the protagonists, who are still facing their 50 years together, between work and family responsibilities and a pandemic. There is no shortage of new characters like Sara Ramirez, Dr. Torres from Grey's Anatomy who plays a queer character. Sex and the city enters a new phase and from December we can finally follow the adventures.

And just like that: the plot

The plot of the sequel to Sex and the city sees the protagonists committed to solving the challenges of life at 50 years, between marriages still standing and the divorce of Carrie and Big. At the center of the plot there will be not only talk and walks in a modern and current New York, but also new trends such as social networks and digital life.

And just like that represents the way in which the friends, now 50 years old, deal with everyday life, love, career and family in a completely different way. Between the return of great characters from the past, such as Aidan Shaw and Mr Big, additional ones like Samantha and new arrivals with modern and fresh characters.

The cast includes of course Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie Bradshaw and her closest friends Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte (Kristin Davis). There is no shortage of old acquaintances such as Chris Noth (Mr. Big), John Corbett (Aidan Show) and Willie Garson, interpreter of Stanford Blatch, who died just during filming on September 21 from pancreatic cancer.

The cast also includes Sara Ramírez, Sarita Choudhury, Nicole Ari Parker, Karen Pittman, Mario Cantone, David Eigenberg and Evan Handler. Miranda and Charlotte's children will have the faces of Niall Cunningham and Cathy Ang.

The script was written by King, Samantha Irby, Rachna Fruchbom, Keli Goff, Julie Rottenberg and Elisa Zuritsky. The series "Sex and the City" was created by Darren Star and is based on the novel "Sex and the City" by Candace Bushnell.

This means that the new episodes of And just like that will be available in Italy from December 9 on Sky Series and streaming on NOW.
