Sky presented the TV schedule for the season 2020 - 2021: here are all the news and what will be the new programs

Sky presented the schedule of the new TV season 2020-2021. Many new features shown by the broadcaster, both on the original content side (TV programs, TV series and movies), and on the sports side, with the confirmation for next year of most of the Serie A matches. Confirmations also on the TV programs side: in the new season both X-Factor and Masterchef will be back, with the important addition of Pekin Express, the adventure reality show that is "taken out" of the hands of rivals.

As far as TV series are concerned, investments on original fiction are confirmed, with new productions assigned to established Italian actors and directors. In September, for example, Petra, a crime TV series starring Paola Cortellesi and based on the stories of detective Petra Delicado, will start. In October, instead, there will be space for We Are Who We Are, a Sky and Hbo production directed by Luca Guadagnino. There will also be films, documentaries and above all a lot of sport, starting with all the matches of the European Championship 2021.

The 2020-2021 Sky TV season will focus heavily on original content, especially TV series. Confirmed the arrival of the fiction on Francesco Totti that should be called "Speravo de morì prima - La serie su Francesco Totti", but the name is still provisional. Official, however, the arrival in 2021 of "A casa tutti bene", the first TV series by Gabriele Muccino. In September, however, will be the turn of Petra, TV series starring Paola Cortellesi, in October, however, will be the turn of We Are Who We Are, fiction directed by Luca Guadagnino. I Delitti del Barlume will also be back with two new episodes.

Between confirmations and novelties, TV programs will be back to be protagonists also in the next Sky TV season. In addition to X Factor (which will start on September 17), Masterchef and the return of Bruno Barbieri 4 Hotel, there will also be a novelty: Pekin Express, the reality adventure that for the first time lands on Sky channels. At the moment we don't know who the presenter will be, nor who the protagonists will be.

Sports will be at the center of Sky's programming, with lots of soccer but with plenty of space for other sports as well. For the coming season, the Europa League, the Champions League, most of the Serie A matches (7 out of 10 matches for each day), the Premier League, the Bundesliga, the Premier League and also the 2020 European Championships that will be held next year have been confirmed.

Much space will also be given to engines with the Formula 1, MotoGP, Superbike championships and many minor series. The sporting season will also be enriched by the last remnant of the NBA, the tennis tournaments scheduled from August onwards, the Gold, with the three majors to be played between August and November and the entire 2020 season of the MLB, the top U.S. baseball league. In addition, Sky will also broadcast on its television channels the America's Cup sailing event.
