Not long before the next expiration of the teacher's card: here's how to check the remaining balance and how to spend it, even online and on Amazon.
Also this year, the Ministry of Education has made available to Italian tenured teachers the Teacher's Card, but also this year is now missing little to the expiration of this incentive, which is valid for two years but must be spent by a specific date: August 31.
In addition, this year, there is the additional date of June 30, 2021, the day by which you can spend a voucher generated with the Teacher's Card to buy hardware useful to do Distance Learning: webcams and microphones, touch screen pens, scanners, portable hotspots and much more. After June 30, the balance still available will still be usable, until August 31, to pay for the rest of the goods and services covered by the initiative: for example, books, advanced courses (including online), software useful for teaching or even admission to museums, exhibitions and cultural events and live shows. But how do you check the remaining balance of the Teacher's Card?
Teacher's Card: how the balance works
To understand how to read the remaining balance of the Teacher's Card, it is first important to know how it works. At the beginning of the school year, the Ministry of Education allocates the sums necessary to cover the total amount of all Teacher Cards.
The teacher, however, has two years (from the moment of issue) to spend the 500 euros of the voucher. Così il buono per l’anno scolastico 2020/2021 sarà spendibile entro il 31 agosto 2022, mentre il 31 agosto 2021 è il termine ultimo per spendere i 500 euro del buono 2019/2020.
E’ chiaro, quindi, che ogni anno il saldo della Carta del Docente sarà costituito dall’avanzo del buono dell’anno precedente più i 500 euro dell’anno in corso.
Come verificare il saldo della Carta del Docente
Per aderire all’iniziativa e generare i buoni acquisto della Carta del Docente è necessario collegarsi all’apposito portale realizzato dal Ministero dell’Istruzione (lo trovate qui, si entra con lo SPID). Dallo stesso portale è possibile anche controllare il saldo residuo.
Una volta entrati, infatti, si potrà andare nella sezione “Storico portafoglio“: qui verranno mostrate le somme spese e quelle residue degli ultimi tre anni. Purtroppo il saldo è separato per anno, quindi quando si generano i buoni è sempre meglio “consumare" il saldo residuo, o si rischia di perderlo alla sua scadenza naturale.
Come usare la Carta del Docente su Amazon
Ricordiamo che la Carta del Docente è valida anche per una lunga serie di acquisti online, persino su Amazon. Il gigante dell’ecommerce ha realizzato una apposita sezione ad essa dedicata, che facilita molto la procedura. Si tratta, in pratica, di convertire i buoni generati sul portale istituzionale in buoni Amazon di pari valore.
Affinché un prodotto o servizio comprato su Amazon sia incentivabile con la Carta del Docente, infatti, non solo deve rientrare nelle categorie previste dal Ministero dell’Istruzione ma deve anche essere “venduto e spedito da Amazon“.
