Giving music at Christmas is always a nice idea, but if choosing for others what to listen to can be a risk, it can instead be a winning move to offer the tool with which to listen to it, that's why we have selected for you the best headphones to put under the tree at the end of 2021.
Just a few days ago we presented a selection of the best Bluetooth earphones to give as a Christmas present, a completely different category of products that from our point of view also responds to different needs and habits of use: this is the reason why we separate the selection of headphones from that of earphones.
Headsets are bulkier to carry, are difficult to wear when wearing a hat, have a more significant aesthetic impact, but at the same time offer, in most cases, a more comfortable and more complete acoustic experience.
To select the absolute best on the market, we referred to some of the many products we have found over the past few months: no reliance on technical data sheets, but only on direct experience made by wearing a pair of headphones and testing their quality on the field.
The Jabra surprise
We had already written it when we talked about headsets, we confirm it also in the headset segment: the Danish brand Jabra, in addition to being synonymous with very refined design, for some time now has also been a guarantee of excellent audio quality. Abbiamo indicato due modelli, uno in circolazione da molto tempo, Elite 85H, l’altro più recente e perfetto per la vita ibrida: le Jabra Evolve 2 85 hanno infatti un’ottima qualità per l’ascolto della musica, ma nascondono anche un microfono appoggiato ad un braccetto che permette di avere conversazioni con audio perfetto durante le video chiamate.
Quando viene richiuso, il microfono scompare completamente e le cuffie hanno l’aspetto di un normale prodotto per l’intrattenimento, non solo con un suono eccellente, ma anche con una applicazione di supporto tra le migliori in assoluto.

Lo standard BOSE
Quando si parla di cuffie e si vuole trovare uno standard di riferimento, il marchio americano BOSE rappresenta la storia: con il modello più recente, le Quiet Comfort 45, l’azienda statunitense ha lavorato con un approccio un po’ conservativo rispetto alla concorrenza, ma ha comunque realizzato un prodotto di ottimo livello.
Se però dovessimo scegliere quale oggetto regalare a Natale 2021, noi vireremmo senza dubbio verso il modello NC 700, più bello da vedere, più prestigioso nei materiali che sono stati utilizzati e anche migliore sul fronte dell’audio. I prezzi nel mondo BOSE non sono mai una passeggiata, ma questi sono prodotti destinati a durare nel tempo.
L’outsider Philips
Se ci avessero detto all’inizio dell’anno che avremmo scelto un prodotto di Philips tra i migliori nel segmento audio del 2021, avremmo probabilmente espresso qualche dubbio. In realtà il marchio olandese, ora controllato da una società cinese, ha riportato sul mercato la famiglia di prodotti Fidelio e rappresenta il vero outsider nel mondo dell’audio.
Abbiamo provato il modello L3, che è costruito con una qualità elevatissima, con materiali prestigiosi e con una cura del suono che ci ha onestamente sorpresi. Autonomia eccellente, frequenze basse molto pronunciate, un’applicazione di supporto completa e funzionale: le cuffie Philips Fidelio L3 ci sono piaciute tantissimo e sono per noi un regalo davvero top.

La classe Sennheiser
Abbiamo citato in precedenza uno dei migliori marchi nel mondo delle cuffie, BOSE, in arrivo dal mercato americano, ma se guardiamo al mercato professionale uno dei brand con la storia più entusiasmante è quello di Sennheiser, a cui appartengono le cuffie Momentum 3, che in realtà dovrebbero modificare il loro nome in “monumento” perché rappresentano un punto di riferimento altissimo in questo segmento di prodotti. Oltre alla qualità del suono, sono dotate di sensori che riconoscono quando le cuffie vengono indossate, oppure tolte e quindi interrompono automaticamente la riproduzione della musica.
L’eleganza di Bowers & Wilkins
In mezzo a moltissimi marchi che si occupano di audio e che rappresentano uno standard elevato, dobbiamo inserire anche alcuni brand specializzati, che fanno del design uno dei loro punti di forza principali, tra questi sicuramente c’è l’inglese Bowers & Wilkins, che realizza altoparlanti estremamente curati, ma anche cuffie di ottimo livello, come le PX7. Sono bellissime da vedere, comodissime da indossare perché sono particolarmente leggere, offrono un suono tra i migliori che si possono trovare per l’equilibrio tra le diverse gamme di frequenze, anche in questo caso il tutto è governato da un’applicazione molto completa che permette di gestire tutte le funzioni, compresa l’equalizzazione del suono.
La certezza di SONY
Lasciamo in fondo a questa lista non perché sia il prodotto meno importante, ma perché il meglio di solito sta in fondo, la proposta di Sony con le cuffie WH-1000XM4. Offrono nel complesso la migliore esperienza per qualità dei materiali, tecnologia impiegata, definizione del suono, durata della batteria, semplicità d’uso e applicazione a supporto. There are so many parameters we usually take into consideration when evaluating headphones, and overall the best balance we found over the course of 2021 comes from these headphones from Sony; They're not the cheapest ones you can buy, but for those looking to make an investment to listen to music with great pleasure, this is probably the best option available today.
Our video today, however, also reveals to you some other options that could prove to be the best choice at Christmas 2021, because fishing through the best proposals of last year we found some headphone models that are still top notch. The same Sony and the surprising Huawei still offer established products, less expensive, but still very valid. Finally, we add a curious solution, that of Urbanista, which has created a pair of headphones that work with solar charging, through small panels installed in the headband with which they are worn. Perhaps they are not the best in absolute on the sound front, but should be rewarded for their originality.
All that remains is to find the music with which to test the new headphones.
