The first JVC OLED Smart TVs have arrived in Europe

The European OLED Smart TV market is enriched by a new player. It's JVC, which markets two new models in the most popular sizes, 55" and 65"

JVC is ready to challenge in Europe the real giants like Sony, LG or Panasonic in "their" field, that of OLED Smart TVs.

JVC is ready to challenge the European giants such as Sony, LG or Panasonic in their field, that of OLED Smart TVs. It does so with the first TVs in its range equipped with a screen of this type, high-end products with HDMI 2.1 input then ready for games and consoles of the future.

To have a certain presence in the market, JVC has chosen to debut with the most popular size ever on the high-end: the new VO9100 series of JVC comes in the "canonical" 55 and 65 inches. The platform used for JVC's OLED Smart TV is Linux-based and offers the ability to connect a smart speaker with Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa to voice control the system's functionality through the respective voice assistant. There's no shortage (wouldn't have been possible) of popular streaming apps: Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime Video, Red Bull TV, Twitch and Amazon Music are all there.

Features of JVC's OLED Smart TVs

On high-end Smart TVs like JVC's VO9100 series, first and foremost, you can't miss a quality panel. And while OLED technology in itself is a guarantee of vivid colors and deep blacks, it's the features that do the rest: the panel has Ultra HD 4K 10-bit resolution, and a refresh rate of 100/120 Hz.

Motion Estimation Motion Compensation (MEMC) technology takes care of interpolating the images, increasing the viewing fluidity even of all those programs that are transmitted at 60 Hz, reducing blurring in faster movements, while Micro Dimming is in charge of optimizing contrasts, which on an OLED are always very high anyway.

No lack of compatibility with the most popular video standards, so HDR 10, Dolby Vision and HLG, as well as the most qualitative audio standards such as Dolby Atmos, DTS-HD and DTS Virtual:X, supported by a 2.1-channel audio with a total power of 24 watts. JVC's VO9100 series can handle eARC and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), which optimizes the qualities of the device to deliver the best responsiveness. For gaming, JVC's VO9100 series has a dedicated mode that activates automatically.

There are also three HDMI 2.1 inputs, and they are the first from JVC with support for the 2.1 standard. JVC's VO9100s can be wall-mounted or placed on a piece of furniture thanks to the central stand.
