The Galaxy S11 will be called Picasso

Despite being several months away from launch, the first information about the Galaxy S11 is already starting to leak out. Which, in the meantime, could change its name

The next Samsung smartphone that everyone can't wait to see and touch is the Galaxy Note 10, but already begin to circulate the first rumors about the Samsung Galaxy S11 whose release is scheduled for 2020. According to the well-known leaker Ice Universe to this device has been assigned the codename Picasso.

No longer names inspired by space, as in the past (remember for example Dream, Star and Beyond used for the Galaxy S8, S9 and S10) but names inspired by great artists of the past. Already to the Note 10, in fact, Samsung from given the internal name of Da Vinci. There are also rumors of a possible abandonment of the name Galaxy S: ten years after the first device, in fact, Samsung is looking for a fresher trade name that gives an immediate sign of discontinuity with the past. Discontinuity that, name aside, should also be confirmed by technical specifications far superior to those of the current range.

How will the Samsung Galaxy S11 "Picasso"

Of course we are still far from the release of the official technical specifications of the Galaxy S11. As usual, however, there is no shortage of early rumors and assumptions from market analysts. Based on current trends and component costs, it is speculated that the Samsung Galaxy S11 will have a display with no notch and even no pop up camera. The lens, in fact, could be "hidden" inside the screen. There should be a USB-C connection but not the one for the headphone jack while the phone connection will certainly be 5G compatible. It is speculated thanks to a Qualcomm X50 chip (or X55, which will arrive in late 2019).

Samsung Galaxy S11: when it will be presented

One of the possible dates of presentation of the Samsung Galaxy S11 is that of the Mobile World Congress 2020, which will be held in late February next year. The Samsung Galaxy S10, on the other hand, was unveiled at the Galaxy UNPACKED 2019 event held in San Francisco three months ago. Before the Galaxy S11, however, the Galaxy Note 10 will be unveiled, which will have the same photo compartment as the S10, a 19:9 aspect ratio display with a center hole for the camera, and a 4,500 mAh battery.
