It has kept millions of users around the world glued to the screen, has brought back "Bella Ciao", has made famous the mask of Dali, has turned a red suit into a symbol and conquered people of all ages. But like all good things, The House of Paper is coming to an end.
As announced by Netflix several months ago, the final episodes of the fifth season will be released on December 3, 2021. The episodes will put an end to the famous Spanish TV series created by Álex Pina. The epilogue will be full of surprises and twists. The last season was divided into two parts, the first was released on streaming from September 3. The audience had to say goodbye to one of the most important characters of the series and new mysteries were intertwined with the previous ones. The gang is locked inside the Bank of Spain and nothing bodes well. Nevertheless, surrender does not seem to be one of the possible alternatives: the company led by the Professor will fight until the end against the army. It is expected a no-holds-barred finale, as anticipated in the last hours by Netflix.
The House of Paper 5: what happened in the first episodes [spoilers]
The anticipations released by Netflix suggest an ending full of twists and turns. The gang is inside the Bank of Spain for more than 100 hours, the army has managed to enter the building and is ready to finally annihilate the thieves. The troops are led by Special Forces Commander Sagasta (José Manuel Seda).
The last episode left the audience speechless: Tokyo (Úrsula Corberó) died, but in a heroic way. In fact, she was hit by the enemy but blew herself up because she tied some bombs on herself. These allowed her comrades to save themselves because she exterminated a part of the enemy army, including the evil César Gandía (José Manuel Poga).
Meanwhile, the Professor (Alvaro Morte) was discovered in his lair by Alicia Sierra (Najwa Nimri), but just while they were inside the bunker she gave birth, just with the help of her enemy. By now Sierra is wanted by the Police and she is, unknowingly, the Professor's accomplice. The last five episodes will allow the viewers to release the tension, but surely this will come at a high price.
What happens in the last episodes
Netflix anticipates that the gang is completely in disarray but is not in the least willing to surrender. The Professor is unresponsive and without guidance, it's impossible to act effectively. But now the priorities have changed: the goal is not simply to get the gold out of the Bank but to save themselves and not die.
When all seems lost, the Professor reappears and tries to bring the situation back to order. There are so many loose ends, but they will surely be cleared up in the end. For example: Berlin's son seems to have a crucial role in the salvation of the gang and in the outcome of the robbery. But you can only find this out on December 3, when the last five episodes of The House of Paper will be available on Netflix.
