Nokia had previewed it at IFA 2019, the German fair dedicated to consumer electronics, last August and now it is finally available for purchase: we are talking about the Nokia 2720 Flip, an old-fashioned cell phone, but with a technological heart. The Finnish company in recent years has relaunched the production of old style cell phones: first the Nokia 3310, then the Nokia 8110 and now the Nokia 2720 Flip, a clamshell phone with which you can also use WhatsApp.
On the new device of Nokia is the operating system KaiOS, in great ascent in recent months. It is an OS designed for low-cost devices for sale in developing countries. Phones and smartphones with lower performance, but able to offer the same functionality of more expensive devices. The KaiOS project has slowly grown up to attract the attention of big technology companies that have begun to invest in the project. The classic clamshell design very much in vogue in the early 2000s, all the most important Google apps installed natively and the ability to download WhatsApp from the KaiStore. These few words are enough to present the Nokia 2720 Flip, the new cell phone of the Finnish company recently launched on the market.
The phone is characterized by a 2.8-inch screen with 240 x 240 pixel resolution. Externally there is a second display that allows you to view notifications. On board we find a Snapdragon 205 chipset with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory expandable up to 32GB. The phone can also connect to the Internet, thanks to the presence of the LTE modem. Internet connection that can be used to download applications from the store of the operating system or to send messages on WhatsApp.

KaiOS, the operating system of the future
