After 22 years since the release of the first The Matrix, the famous saga returns with a new chapter and Warner Bros unveils the official title
It was 1999 when the science fiction genre welcomed what for millions of fans is an icon of the genre: The Matrix. Since then, the red and blue pill has enchanted and made a whole generation of nerds and non-nerds think. In a few months, it will be The Matrix again, with the fourth and "last" chapter of this extraordinary cinematic saga.
The first The Matrix was released in cinemas around the world 22 years ago: the success was enormous. The Matrix won numerous awards, including four Oscars, but what surprised most was its cultural impact. Since then, several works have recalled the extraordinary work of brothers Andy and Larry Wachowski, who later became Lilly and Lana Wachowski, after a sex change. The original Matrix grossed $495 million worldwide and even today, despite the sequels Reloaded and Revolutions, remains unmatched in its success. Warner Bros. has made official the release date of the film for December 22, 2021 and has definitely confirmed the title: Matrix Resurrections.
Matrix Resurrections: the plot
In the fourth chapter of the Matrix will return, after dying at the end of the initial trilogy, Neo, played by the beautiful Keanu Reeves and Trinity, which will still have the determination and elegance of Carrie-Anne Moss. Very little news about the plot of Resurrections. Reeves had declared some time ago that in the film there would be a "love story" making us hope for Neo and Trinity, but at the same time there would be no return to the past.
A few lucky ones have been able to take a look at the first images of the film.
