The long-awaited Mortal Kombat movie arrives in Italy. The film, inspired by the famous video game saga is directed by award-winning Australian director Simon McQuid. Finally, Italian audiences will be able to see it on May 30, 2021.
Mortal Kombat will pit the champions of the famous video game against each other in an intense and no-holds-barred battle. Fans will be able to see many warriors on TV: from Cole Young, undisputed MMA champion, to Sub-Zero. The plot is complex, but the world of Mortal Kombat is so wide that it can give rise to breathtaking narrations. And this was precisely the bet of the production. In fact, the film is produced by James Wan (who already worked on the release of Aquaman), Todd Garner (Into the Storm, Tag), McQuoid and E. Bennett Walsh (Men in Black: International, The Amazing Spider-Man 2). In short, the feature film will bring together all fans of action, fighting and video games.
Mortal Kombat Movie: The Plot
The plot of Mortal Kombat centers on the adventures of MMA champion Cole Young, unaware of his heritage but also why the Outworld arch-villain wants to hunt him down, through the warrior Sub-Zero.
Cole fears for his family's safety, so he relies on Sonya Blade and the Special Forces; the warrior, to escape Sub-Zero, then takes refuge inside the temple of Lord Raiden, Ancient God and Protector of Earthrealm, who hides anyone who bears the mark of the dragon. Cole, inside the temple, trains intensively, with the help of a team of warriors formed by Liu Kang, Kung Lao and Kano. Si prepara alla lotta contro i nemici dell’Outworld, in una battaglia in cui è in gioco il destino dell’universo.
Cole dovrà impegnarsi e concentrarsi per raggiungere il suo arcana, ovvero il potere immenso custodito nella sua anima, ma dovrà anche proteggere e salvare una volta per tutte la sua famiglia.
Così, nasce una pellicola d’azione, incentrata sul combattimento ma che ha come riferimento ultimo il valore della famiglia.
