Of the four models presented in China, Honor brings two also in Italy. The price, however, has been adjusted upward a lot and the Italian Honor MagicBook X are much less convenient than expected
The new Honor MagicBook X laptops 14 and 15 inches are available in Italy, six months after the launch in China. Unfortunately, however, as often happens when a product goes from the Chinese market to the global one, the prices of these laptops have risen considerably, although it must be said that in Italy Honor sells them bundled with wireless Earbuds 2 Lite (which are worth 99 euros).
Also, while in China were presented 4 models (with Intel Core i3 and i5 CPUs, 14 and 15 inches) in Italy come only 2 configurations: the 14-inch model with Intel Core i5-10210U CPU and the 15-inch model with Intel Core i3-10110U CPU. A rather strange choice, since the i5 CPU consumes and heats up more than the i3 and it would have been logical to expect a 14-inch with i3 and a 15-inch with i5. Probably behind this choice of Honor is the now infamous chip crisis: these are the components available, these are the products sold. For the rest, however, the Honor MagicBooks are good laptops for basic activities, well built and all in all, low weight.
Honor MagicBook X 14 and 15 inches: technical specifications
As already mentioned, only two configurations of Honor MagicBook X are currently available in Italy and, therefore, these are the only ones we're talking about.
Honor MagicBook X 14 is the model with Full HD IPS LCD display, 14.1 inches. In Italy it is sold with Intel Core i5-10210U CPU, 8 GB of RAM and 512 GB SSD disk space. La scheda grafica è integrata nella CPU: si tratta della Intel UHD Graphics.
La dotazione di porte e connessioni prevede il WiFi 5, il Bluetooth 5.0, una porta USB-C, una porta USB-A 2.0, una USB-A 3.0, una porta HDMI per un monitor esterno o una TV e, infine, un jack da 3,5 millimetri per le cuffie.
La batteria di MagicBook X 14 è da 56 Wh, con ricarica abbastanza veloce: 65 watt. La capacità dell’accumulatore, va detto, non è delle più elevate. Il peso di questo laptop è di 1,38 Kg.
Honor MagicBook X 15 ha lo stesso display, ma da 15,6 pollici, CPU Intel Core i3-10110U, 8 GB di RAM, SSD da 256 GB. In questo caso la batteria è ancor più piccola (ma la CPU consuma di meno): 43 Wh, sempre con ricarica a 65 Watt. Identica la dotazione di porte, mentre il peso sale a 1,56 Kg.
Honor MagicBook X 14 e 15 pollici: quanto costano
I nuovi Honor MagicBook X sono al momento disponibili in Italia solo attraverso lo store ufficiale di Honor, ai seguenti prezzi:
- Honor MagicBook X 14: 749 euro
- Honor MagicBook X 15: 649 euro
Non sono economicissimi, quindi, anche considerata la scelta di usare CPU Intel di decima generazione (siamo ormai alla dodicesima). Tuttavia, se questi due modelli dovessero arrivare in futuro su Amazon con un robusto taglio di prezzo potrebbero diventare assai più interessanti.
