From Germany come rumors about the Pixel 3a list price, the mid-range that Google is expected to launch soon on the market
The mid-range version of the Google Pixel 3 smartphone, namely the Pixel 3a, could arrive soon with a price of about half that of the flagship device. According to the latest rumors, in fact, the Pixel 3a will cost about 450 euros. In that price range you can find good deals for Samsung Galaxy S9, OnePlus 6T and Huawei P20 Pro, just to name a few of the possible competitors of the Google Pixel 3a.
The German site WinFuture reports it, citing confidential sources and also adding some first technical specifications. As always in these cases, this is unofficial information and could be disproved by the facts as has happened in the past for several products. In any case, WinFuture also confirms that Google is planning to launch shortly the depowered version not only of the Pixel 3 but also of the Pixel 3 XL (which will be called Pixel 3a XL). The designations, therefore, are slightly different from the one speculated until yesterday: Pixel 3e and Pixel 3e XL.
Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL: features and prices
The two medium-sized smartphones from Google should have a display, respectively, of 5.6 and 6 inches. There should not be a version with 32 GB of internal storage: both Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL should start with at least 64 GB. Instead of the processor mounted on the top of the range, namely the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, the two new mid-range devices will mount the Snapdragon 710 (which is nothing more than a re-branded 670). The RAM, however, should be the same: 4 GB. Nothing is known about the photo department, but it is unlikely that Google will choose to change the much-appreciated configuration already seen on the top of the range. The Pixel 3 has a single 12 MP rear camera, but for many, thanks to the Dual Pixel technology, it is one of the best on the market, if not the best ever.
The price of the Pixel 3a with 5.6-inch display should be around 450 euros, practically half of the 899 euros from which the Pixel 3 starts on the Google store. Considering that the Pixel 3 XL instead starts at 999 euros, a price of around 550 euros for the 6-inch Pixel 3a XL is conceivable. WinFuture also states that there will be three colors available at launch: white, black and "Iris," which is a shade between blue and purple.
