The platform has confirmed the second season written by Brian Young and inspired by Iginio Straffi's cartoon. Here are the details.
The hit Netflix series about the world of Winx is set to return to streaming. The company has confirmed the arrival of the second season. Fate: The Winx Saga 2 will, once again, be inspired by the animated series of the same name created by Iginio Straffi in 2004.
The live action is produced by Archery Pictures Production, in association with Rainbow and written by Brian Young, former writer of The Vampires Diaries. Compared to the cartoon, the Netflix show is aimed at a more adult audience, accomplice to the darker atmosphere and the themes covered. The first season was released in January 2021 and right away ranked in the top 10 of the platform's top 10. On February 18, the company confirmed the return of Bloom, Stella, Muse and Terra. There is no detailed news about the plot yet, but there will be even more magic and mystery. The cast has also been confirmed and there will be some new entries.
Fairy Plot: The Winx Saga 2
The Winx TV series tells the story of five young fairies who attend Alfea, a school of magic in Otherworld. The protagonists during the first season have discovered their powers and learned how to manage them. At the same time they faced typical teenage problems: from matters of the heart to school difficulties. And as if that wasn't enough, they challenged the monsters that threaten their existence.
The new season will see even more magic and tension. Once again, Brian Young is writing the script, serving as executive producer and showrunner.
Judy Counihan and Kris Thykier of Archery Pictures (Riviera, ISIS - The Evil Recruits) are the executive producers, along with Joanne Lee and Cristiana Buzzelli for Rainbow, a company founded in 1995 by Iginio Straffi, who expressed satisfaction with the return of his fairies:

Anche lo showrunner Brian Young si è detto particolarmente entusiasta per l’arrivo della seconda stagione:
"I sei episodi della prima stagione hanno solo scalfito la superficie di questo mondo incredibilmente ricco e delle potenti fate che lo abitano. La storia di Bloom continuerà a evolversi e non vedo l’ora che il pubblico scopra ancora di più su Aisha, Stella, Terra e Musa! E chissà chi altro potrebbe presentarsi ad Alfea prossimamente…".
La curiosità è tanta: queste parole lasciano pensare ad una serie di nuovi personaggi che arricchiranno l’immaginario delle Winx. Per il momento, il cast della prima stagione è confermato.

Nei nuovi episodi di The Winx Saga rivedremo i principali personaggi della serie e relativi attori e attrici:
- Abigail Cowen (Le Terrificanti Avventure di Sabrina) nel ruolo di Bloom
- Hannah van der Westhuysen nel ruolo di Stella
- Precious Mustapha nel ruolo di Aisha
- Eliot Salt nel ruolo di Terra
- Elisha Applebaum nel ruolo di Musa.
La seconda stagione sarà composta da 8 episodi di un’ora ciascuno e la produzione inizierà entro la fine dell’anno in Irlanda. Potremo quindi vedere le nuove puntate nel 2022. Nel frattempo è possibile guardare la prima stagione su Netflix.
