TicWatch Pro X official: it’s a smartwatch with two screens

Official TicWatch Pro X, a smartwatch of the highest level with two displays that allow you to count on an excellent autonomy for a product of this type

TicWatch Pro X is official, and presents itself to the world as a product with few compromises. It is therefore a high-end smartwatch that promises a lot to those who should give him confidence, initially only in China where it was presented but in the future there are good chances that it will arrive in our parts.

The top of the range TicWatch does not offer new aesthetic solutions: rather, the designers have thought to offer a top product with a reliable appearance and consistent with other products in the range TicWatch. Thus, the case is circular and the product closely resembles a classic watch, although it is very well put from the technical and especially technological point of view. TicWatch Pro X is in fact a very special smartwatch by virtue of the dual screen with which it is equipped: one is a classic AMOLED, with intense colors and excellent definition, the other is a display that performs particularly well in bright light and requires very little power to the battery.

TicWatch Pro X: how it's made

TicWatch Pro X is a high-end smartwatch, and you can clearly tell by the presence in the director of the latest chip made official by Qualcomm, namely the powerful Snapdragon Wear 4100 octa core 1.7 GHz designed specifically for use on wearables. At its side are 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage space, within which to cram for example the music to be played later during the race or other activities supported, to deal with which you can rely on IP68 certified water resistance.

The display is perhaps the feature that distinguishes TicWatch Pro X to a greater extent from the competition. In fact, it is dual: a 1.39-inch AMOLED with a very high pixel density of 326 ppi, which ensures excellent definition, and a secondary screen so to speak LCD type FTSN that allows you to have the most important information such as the time or the mode set with an almost negligible power consumption, while also ensuring excellent visibility in direct sunlight. It comes in quite handy during outdoor activities.

Also, this second screen allows you to make the power-saving mode even more effective, during which the main AMOLED display remains off to ensure an amazing autonomy of up to 45 days (up to 4 days in "normal" mode). Interaction with the TicWatch Pro X is ensured by the presence of two side buttons that can rotate.

The experience on the other hand is guaranteed by Wear OS 2.0 with the recent Wear OS 3.0 of Samsung's Galaxy Watch4 coming later, although the wait for the update may not be short. The TicWatch Pro X offers continuous monitoring of heart rate, blood oxygen percentage (SpO2) and stress, and can track over 20 sports modes including outdoor running, walking, mountaineering, swimming, cycling and yoga. There's NFC for contactless payments, as well as the presence of virtual SIM support with 4G connectivity.

TicWatch Pro X: how much it costs

TicWatch Pro X is official for the time being in China where it's being sold for the equivalent of around 265 euros at launch, while its list price at the end of the promotion is around 320 euros.

We don't know when and if it will arrive in Italy, but it would certainly do so at a higher price due to higher taxes and logistics costs.
