The home Internet offers of the operators Vodafone and Fastweb propose solutions to connect from home at the speed of fiber optics at very competitive prices, less than 30 euros per month. Making a comparison with the rates for 2019, it is possible to highlight a reduction in the costs of the monthly fee in the face of an extension of the periods dedicated to promotions, which last practically forever.
In terms of connection speed and network technology, the offers of Vodafone and Fastweb, which are called respectively Internet Unlimited and Fastweb casa, are identical. In both cases it is in fact possible to subscribe to a rate of type ADSL, FTTC or FTTH whose activation is possible according to the place where you live.
As regards the costs of the rates, however, there are the first differences: Fastweb proposes a promotion with a fixed cost, forever, while the proposal of Vodafone has a higher price for the first four years, which is reduced from the fifth - it follows that there is a contractual constraint of 24 months. Let's see below the details of the proposals of the two companies.
Internet Unlimited by Vodafone
The Internet casa promotion by Vodafone presents exclusive discounts and advantages in case of online activation: the first is represented by unlimited and free calls to landlines and mobiles, which usually involve an additional cost of 5 euros. La tariffa costa 26,90 euro al mese in promozione, mentre di solito ha un prezzo di 38,90 euro al mese: a partire dal quinto anno si pagheranno soltanto 20,90 euro al mese.
La promozione, che può essere attivata con connessione di tipo ADSL, FTTC e FTTH, prevede un contributo di attivazione di 48 euro, che è distribuito nel canone mensile. Nel caso in cui lo si volesse pagare in anticipo, si accederebbe a una tariffa con canone mensile pari a 24,90 euro al mese.
Vodafone prevede per questa promozione un vincolo di 24 mesi: nel caso di recesso anticipato o passaggio a un altro operatore, sarà necessario pagare un contributo di disattivazione di 28 euro.
Con Internet Unlimited di Vodafone si ha diritto anche:
• a una SIM dati, con 30 Giga di traffico, da usare su tablet e chiavette;
• a un modem Vodafone Station;
• al servizio Vodafone Ready, che prevede l’assistenza, l’installazione e la manutenzione degli apparecchi collegati alla fibra;
• 3 mesi gratuiti di Rete Sicura, che è il servizio di protezione contro le principali minacce della rete.
I clienti che attivano la promozione in fibra ottica, potranno avere accesso anche:
• al Vodafone TV, che potrà essere collegato direttamente alla TV di casa e permetterà di vedere contenuti in streaming;
• a NOW TV intrattenimento e NOW TV Serie TV, nel quale sono presenti alcuni dei migliori contenuti di Sky, tra serie TV originali, documentari, programmi live e on demand, con contenuti nuovi e aggiornati di settimana in settimana;
• 30 film in esclusiva al mese su CHILI;
• 6 mesi di abbonamento a Infinity;
• i canali del digitale terrestre DVB-T2.
Fastweb Casa
La tariffa Internet casa di Fastweb si contraddistingue per il costo fisso, pari a 26,95 euro al mese, in promozione solo se attivata online, altrimenti è previsto un canone mensile di 34,95 euro. I costi di attivazione sono inclusi nel prezzo, così come il modem Wi-Fi FASTGate. Non ci sono vincoli contrattuali, ma in caso di disattivazione del servizio saranno addebitati 29,95 euro.
La promozione comprende chiamate illimitate verso i numeri fissi e mobili nazionali, permette di navigare alla velocità della fibra FTTH, o in alternativa in FTTC e ADSL. Prevede anche:
• il servizio di assistenza MyFastweb;
• un cloud, il WOW Space, per conservare i propri documenti in modo sicuro e illimitato;
• un servizio attraverso il quale collegarsi al WOW FI, ovvero la rete Wi-Fi di Fastweb che presenta più di 1 milione di punti di accesso in tutta Italia.
L’offerta può essere arricchita in diversi modi, per esempio:
• aggiungendo 1000 minuti di chiamate internazionali verso 60 destinazione estere, con 5 euro in più al mese;
• con NOW TV intrattenimento, NOW TV Smart Stick e 12 mesi di Cinema, con 9,99 euro in più al mese.
Altre due possibilità sono rappresentate:

Vodafone vs Fastweb: final considerations
The rates proposed by Vodafone and Fastweb both have the triple advantage of being all inclusive promotions, which also include calls to landlines and cell phones, to reach the speed of FTTH fiber, which corresponds to 1 Giga download, and to have access to various services dedicated to entertainment.
These are offers that should be activated online, as it is only in this way that you can have access to promotional costs. Among the most evident differences, apart from that of the fixed price against the variable price, there is the clause of the contractual bond as far as the Vodafone promotion is concerned.
Both operators foresee costs, among other things very similar, in case of deactivation of the subscription, but for the early withdrawal with Vodafone you will have to add the payment of eventual residual installments relative to the activation cost and that of the modem.
On the other hand, while entertainment services are included in the case of activation of a fiber optic promotion with Vodafone, for Fastweb it will be necessary to pay a separate price if you want to add streaming services or exclusive video content, dedicated to the whole family.
