Voice commands: “Hey Google” is no longer needed

Digital assistants, more and more central to our daily lives, are constantly evolving, and soon Google Assistant will do the same, doing away with the keyword "Hey Google"

They are numerous and now everywhere, just waiting to make our lives easier. They are digital assistants, a relatively recent technological breakthrough that in a short time has managed to make its way, thanks to the spread of Smart Speakers, among the solutions to speed up routine operations or to perform which would require several steps.

Think, for example, of how many actions are needed to set the navigation on Maps, perhaps while you are busy behind the wheel: just ask Google Assistant with a voice command and that's it. Or think about how annoying it would be to manually set a timer while you're working on bread or pizza dough and your hands are dirty: no problem, just ask Google Assistant. In short, the usefulness of intelligent assistants is not in doubt, what instead can be discussed is the need to have to trigger it continuously through the "magic word", which is "Alexa" for Amazon's assistant or "Hey Google" for that of Mountain View.

  • Impostare sveglie
  • Cancellare sveglie
  • Mostrare sveglie
  • Trasmettere in streaming
  • Rispondere alle chiamate
  • Chiedere l’ora

It's not yet clear when the new feature will arrive for everyone, in all languages, and which devices will support it, but it's clear that Google is working on it.

Who will be able to use Quick Phrases

Another interesting aspect is that if you enter one or more tasks in the list, they will be performed without a keyword only if one of the people who taught Assistant to recognize their voice asks for them. So it won't be possible for anyone to bypass Hey Google, but only those people that the speaker or Google Assistant has learned to recognize through voice, aka Voice Match.
