Of Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 we know the design, but Google has never pronounced on the presentation date, except that the event will be held in the fall
The road to the launch of Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, at some point, got complicated. Although Google had unveiled well in advance the design of its new "kings" of photographs in an attempt to counter the rumors, which as every year were monopolizing the scene, and had in all likelihood scheduled a launch event for late September, had to abandon these projects.
"Guilt" of the crisis of the chips generated by the pandemic or perhaps the delays to Android 12, the next version of the green robot that traditionally is unveiled before the Pixel top of the range. Initially there were in fact four beta versions of the new operating system, or those "experimental" entrusted to developers to familiarize themselves with the new environment and adapt applications accordingly, then Google for some reason had to change plans by including in the path to the official Android 12 a fifth beta, released in recent hours. Now any time is good for stable Android 12, and then it will be time for the new Google Pixel 6.
The date for the Pixel 6 to keep in mind
To finally provide a possible date on the Pixel 6 in recent hours has been the official account Made by Google on Instagram, publishing a series of images of the next top of the range. The purpose was to show different facets of Material You, namely the new design philosophy that will be introduced on Android 12.
So in the "incriminated" image appear twelve different configurations of the main screen of Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, with different backgrounds and widgets. The clue on the date of presentation of the two, however, came sharpening the eye: in fact, in more than one screen the clock widget displays the date "Tuesday 19", which is consistent with the timing announced at the time, those for which that is Google had said that the Pixel 6 would arrive in the fall.
In addition, in support of the date escaped (unintentionally?) to Google on Instagram, there is the indication given in times not suspected by the informant Jon Prosser, who often in the past has provided anticipations turned out to be reliable: he had also bet on October 19, 2021, the day in which, according to Prosser, will trigger the opening of pre-orders, while the actual availability would be set for the 28th of the same month.
We're back to the days of Pixel 4, but not for availability
After making an exception with Pixel 5 announced on September 30 and available from October 15, 2020, Google is back to the days of Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL, which were announced on October 15 with availability starting on October 22, 2019, although we'll never know when Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro would have been unveiled if the small delays we mentioned earlier hadn't been in the way.
And if the timing of the latter roughly follows that of the Pixel 4, the countries in which the next top of the range will be distributed will not be overlapping at all, and in this sense is quite painful the absence of Italy from the list of sales areas.
