When will the low-cost iPhone SE 2 come out on the market

Apple is accelerating on the iPhone SE 2 front, the new budget smartphone expected to debut in March 2020. Here's what it will look like

The iPhone SE has always been highly regarded for its compact and small size, but since 2016, the year of its presentation to the world, Apple's last truly pocket-sized and handy smartphone has never been updated, except for the following year, but only with the addition of new memory sizes.

These days the rumors and online indiscretions that give for imminent the arrival of a new version of the much-loved applephone are getting stronger. According to a Nikkei Asian Review report published last September, the new iPhone SE 2 is expected to go on sale at a price below $400, becoming the cheapest Apple smartphone ever. The news that will make fans of the bitten apple happy concerns the likely date of arrival on the market of the device: March 2020. According to some rumors, in fact, the Cupertino company would have planned the start of production of the iPhone SE 2 for the month of January 2020, with the launch on the market set after sixty days.

iPhone SE 2: start of production?

According to the forecasts spread by Ming-Chi Kuo, an expert always very informed about the iPhone world, Apple will start mass production of the new iPhone SE 2 from next January to be then put on the market by March 2020. Obviously this is unconfirmed information from the Cupertino-based company, but for some analysts and insiders it would seem quite credible. The original iPhone SE was unveiled to the world on March 21, 2016 and was actually available starting on the 31st of the same month. Also in March, but this time in 2017, the new variant was announced. So we can expect an Apple event for March 2020, dedicated precisely to the new low-cost iPhone.

iPhone SE 2: features

The new iPhone SE will become the entry-level device in the iPhone range. Apple's low-cost phone will become the key to access the world of iOS for millions of people, or at least that's what the estimates of sales expectations that stand at as many as 30 million units sold in 2020 alone are talking about.

Aesthetically, the new iPhone SE is inspired by the iPhone 8 and will be equipped with a number of components updated to the current generation, we speak mainly of the processor and RAM. The new iPhone SE will feature a 4.7-inch LCD display, an Apple A13 Bionic SoC processor supported by 3GB of RAM and two different internal storage capacities: 64GB and 128GB. The photographic compartment will make use of only two cameras, one rear and one front, the Home button will probably support the Touch ID function, but no 3D Touch. Finally, three colors, two classic, Steel Grey and Silver, while the third will bear the "insignia" of the RED project, which raises funds for tests and drugs that block the transmission of HIV.
