Android 11 and TV points to gaming and expands the list of supported gamepads: they enter Steam's Valve and the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller
Android 11 was released in September and brings with it important news for the gaming world. The new version of Google's operating system opens up support for as many as 84 third-party gamepads, ensuring users can choose the one they prefer to get the most out of their gaming experience.
Among the new entries in the list of gamepads supported by both Android 11 and TV are Valve from the Steam platform and the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller from the Kyoto-based gaming company. Google's Stadia controller will also be able to be used to play games on Android 11, but is not yet supported on TV. However, there's also a big absentee in the list: the PlayStation DualShock, due to the removal of the PlayStation Now service from the platform. There are also controllers from other brands, including Xbox, Razer and Mad Catz.
Android 11, how to connect your controller
To announce support for 84 third-party gamepads was Google itself on its official blog. A long list, which is possible thanks to the three connection modes offered by the Android 11 operating system. The controllers will be able to be connected via USB cable and via Bluetooth. In the case of Android 11 for TV, however, there is also support for Auto Low Latency Mode, which was introduced with HDMI 2.1.

Among the gamepads available for gaming are the Steam Valve, the platform for online gaming, and the Nintendo Switch Pro controller.
