Which smartphones will update to Android 9 Pie

Google has just launched its new mobile operating system, here is the list of smartphones that will soon receive the update to Android 9 Pie

The new Android 9 Pie mobile operating system has finally been released by Mountain View. But will we all receive the update to Android 9 Pie on our smartphones? The answer is no. At the moment, the list of phones that will receive the new robottino OS is limited.

The new Google OS has a number of improvements over Android Oreo, mainly thanks to a strong implementation of artificial intelligence to optimize the performance and data and battery consumption of the phone. To give an example on Android 9 Pie we will find the adaptive battery feature that uses machine learning to prioritize system resources for those apps we use the most. We will also find Slices, a feature that implements charts and tables for smart searches on Google Search or Google Maps. Not all users, however, will have Android 9 Pie right away: here are the smartphones that will receive the update.

Android 9 Pie: supported smartphones

The first smartphones to receive the update to Android 9 Pie will obviously be those made by Google. That is, the Pixel phones, starting with Pixel and Pixel XL and ending with Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. The Pixel 3 will arrive on the market directly with Android 9 Pie already installed. Immediate update to the new operating system of Mountain View also for the other Android Stock device, namely the Essential Phone PH-1 made by the creator of Android, Andy Rubin.
