According to the latest rumors, Xiaomi 12 Ultra will change completely in the rear compared to its predecessor. First of all, the second display that allowed you to center the frame when shooting with the rear cameras will disappear, and not because it was useless but because Xiaomi has decided to redesign the camera group using all the available space.
On Xiaomi 12 Ultra, according to rumors, there will be four cameras placed in a huge "islet" of circular shape, so there will be one more sensor than the current top of the range. The main one - it has been rumored for some time - should be the successor to the ISOCELL GN2 used on the 11 Ultra, so the 50-megapixel ISOCELL GN5 sensor manufactured by Samsung.
On the remaining three sensors of the Xiaomi 12 Ultra there are a bit more nuanced assumptions, not so much in terms of the type of the same - they will be an ultra wide-angle and two telephoto lenses - as on the specifications: they should be three sensors of 48 megapixels each including a telephoto lens for 5x optical zoom, which with the help of software could make 10x hybrid zoom and get to a 120x digital zoom, as on Mi 11 Ultra.
Next to the cameras we notice the presence of three sensors about which there is not enough information yet. The prevailing hypothesis is that two realize the laser autofocus system with the help of a ToF, while the third could be a sensor that detects color temperature and adjusts photos and videos accordingly. Further down there are a flash triple LED for photos in poor light conditions and a microphone.
Externally to the camera group, the images distributed by the rumors put well in evidence the Leica logo, a company that, having expired the contract with Huawei, has started a collaboration with Xiaomi: the first fruits will be seen precisely on Xiaomi 12 Ultra.
