Xiaomi Mi 10, what the Chinese budget smartphone will look like

Xiaomi is ready to launch the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro, two top-of-the-line smartphones. Here are the features, release date and price

The Xiaomi Mi 10 and the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro (premium version of the same device) have no more secrets. All the technical characteristics of the two smartphones have been anticipated with posts on social networks and there was no shortage of surprises. As expected, the Mi 10 will be a top-of-the-line smartphone that has nothing to envy to the other devices that will arrive in the early 2020s (Galaxy S20 and Huawei P40).

Xiaomi is doing things big to ensure its users smartphones with top performance at a lower price than expected. The Mi 10 will be the first top of the range to be launched by the Chinese company in 2020 and will be one of the first to mount the Snapdragon 865 chipset, the most powerful among those available on the market. Another very interesting novelty is the screen with 90Hz refresh rate, a feature that we will see on many smartphones coming out in 2020. If on the technical card of the Mi 10 we have no more doubts, the same can not be said about the date of presentation of the smartphone. For the moment we know very little about when the Mi 10 will hit the market. It could be just before the start of Mobile World Congress 2020, or in the first week of March.

The Mi 10

The Mi 10 perfectly represents how a top-of-the-line smartphone should be in 2020. On board we find the Snapdragon 865 supported by 8-12GB of RAM and 128-256GB of internal storage (varies depending on the model chosen). The screen will be 6.5 inches with FullHD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate to make the user experience better.

Very interesting is also the photographic compartment: in the back there is a quadruple camera with 64 Megapixel main sensor, the same already seen on some devices released towards the end of 2019. In support a 20 Megapixel wide-angle sensor, a 12 Megapixel telephoto lens and a 5 Megapixel depth sensor. 4500mAh battery with support for 40W fast charging, 30W wireless charging and 10W reverse charging (to charge other wireless devices such as headphones). Unmissable 5G network support.

The Mi 10 Pro features

The Mi 10 Pro won't be much different from its little brother. Same design and screen, what changes are the cameras and battery charging technology. Underneath the 6.5-inch display we find the Snapdragon 865 with 12GB of RAM and internal memory that can go up to 512GB.

The photo compartment is the real flagship of the device. 108 Megapixel main sensor (the same as on the Mi Note 10), 48 Megapixel wide-angle lens, 12 Megapixel telephoto lens and 8 Megapixel ToF (Time of Flight) sensor. The battery will be 4500mAh with support for fast charging at 66W and wireless charging at 40W.

Price and release date of the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro

We don't have an exact presentation and release date for the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro. As has been the case in recent years, the smartphone will be unveiled in the early 2020s, most likely between mid-February and early March, with market arrival expected in mid-March.

Not much news is available on the price either. As usual, Xiaomi will try an aggressive policy, with prices significantly lower than the competition. The base model of the Mi 10 could be launched at around 350 euros, while for the Mi 10 Pro is very likely that bisgonerĂ  spend almost 500 euros.
