Xiaomi presents the Mi 6: Snapdragon 835 chipset and 6GB of RAM at a mini price. Initially, it will only be available in China
Xiaomi was expected to the litmus test and it answered. After the presentations of the LG G6 and Samsung Galaxy S8 that raised the bar considerably in the world of telephony, the Mi 6 had the daunting task of improving on a smartphone, the Mi 5, that received critical acclaim last year. And it seems to have succeeded.
The Xiaomi Mi 6 doesn't feature a "revolutionary" screen and design like the LG G6 and Galaxy S8, but it does have top-of-the-line features and a much lower price than the competition. The Chinese company preferred to focus on the chipset and RAM, putting aside the screen. Those who expected the presentation of a "Plus" model as well will be disappointed: the Mi 6 will be launched in three different versions, but the screen size will be the same. As usual, the smartphone will be available only in China and Italian users who want to buy it will have to rely on e-commerce sites that import it.

Let's start immediately with the technical sheet. The Xiaomi Mi 6 mounts a Snapdragon 835 chipset supported by the Adreno 540 GPU, 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of internal storage. Compared to rumors, therefore, the device will not be launched with a version with 4GB of RAM. The design is characterized by the body with 3D glass present on all four sides. The only flaw concerns the screen, which still has rather pronounced bezels on all four sides. The display is 5.15 inches with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and integrates a special technology that reduces the emission of blue lights.
The other front on which Xiaomi has decided to invest time and money is the photographic compartment. In fact, the Mi 6 integrates a dual rear camera of 12 Megapixels, which allows you to take perfect pictures in any situation. The front camera is 8 Megapixels.
The fingerprint sensor is located in the front under the glass surface. The smartphone is splash resistant, but Xiaomi did not highlight if it is possible to submerge it in water. On the autonomy front, the MI 6 mounts a 3350 mAh battery that allows you to get through the day without any kind of problem.
Price and release Xiaomi Mi 6
The Xiaomi Mi 6 will be launched on the market in the version with 6GB and 64GB of internal memory at a price of 2499 yuan (just over 335 euros). For the model with 6GB and 128GB of internal storage will have to shell out 2899 yuan, about 390 euros. Xiaomi has also made a ceramic version that costs 2999 yuan (just over 400 euros at the exchange rate). For those who want to buy it in Italy, from the sites that will import it, the prices will be higher.
