The Chinese company is ready to present a new version of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2, updating both the data sheet and the design
After marking visit to the Mobile World Congress 2018, Xiaomi is ready to launch its first top of the range for 2018. The Chinese company is in a very delicate phase of its history: in these months it is preparing the landing in Europe, after becoming one of the largest manufacturers worldwide. In Spain it arrived at the end of last year, while in Italy it should open the first MiStore in the coming months in Milan.
Just in time to see the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S arrive in Italy as well, a new version of the borderless smartphone launched in September 2017 and that the company will present next March 27 in Shanghai. This is not just a simple hardware update, but a radical change that will also affect the design. The bezels will be even smaller, while there are doubts about the position of the front camera. It could be located in the lower right corner (as on the Mi Mix 2) or in the upper right corner and devote all the remaining space to the display. On this fact there are still discordant news and we will find out only on the day of the presentation.
Technical Sheet Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S
The update of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S starts from the hardware components. On board will be the Snapdragon 845 supported by 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Features from real top of the range and that should ensure very high performance. The OLED screen will be made by Samsung and will have a diagonal of 5.99 inches, aspect ratio of 18:9 and a FullHD+ resolution. The bezels will be even thinner than those of the previous model, while in terms of design we have to see where Xiaomi will decide to place the front camera. At the back there will be a dual camera placed vertically, with the main 12-megapixel sensor and the secondary one that will serve as a telephoto lens. To improve image quality Xiaomi will integrate artificial intelligence in the smartphone, now present in most of the top of the range, and there will also be optical image staiblization. Thanks to artificial intelligence, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S will have portrait mode and a feature that allows you to capture multiple images in no time and delete noise through an algorithm. As for the video part, the smartphone will allow recording videos at 120 frames per second with FullHD resolution and 240 fps with HD resolution. In the back there will also be the fingerprint sensor (to see the sensor hidden under the display will have to wait for the next Xiaomi smartphones). The rear shell will be ceramic and support wireless charging. The battery will be 4400mAh.
When will the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S
The smartphone will be presented to the general public in an event organized for March 27 in Shanghai. To see it on the market will not have to wait long, within a few days it will be possible to buy it. But only in the Chinese version. To see it in the European version will have to wait a little more ': Xiaomi is preparing the arrival in Italy and in the coming months will open the first official store in Milan. For the price of the smartphone still there is no information.
