Xiaomi has announced its new top-of-the-line smartphone, with large screen, four total cameras, with the front ones retractable, and with wireless charging
Xiaomi has announced its new Mi Mix 3, a smartphone with four cameras, two in front and two in back, but without notch, that is, the notch at the top of the screen to insert the various photo sensors. In its place, a sliding front camera that we have already seen on the Oppo Find X.
For the Mi Mix 3 Xiaomi has chosen a very elegant design, quite squared compared to the rounded style that is very fashionable nowadays on various Android devices. The shock is ceramic and the screen is a 6.93-inch AMOLED with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The main novelty of this device is the screen-to-body ratio of more than 93%. Precisely in order not to reduce the screen the two front cameras are retractable. That is, when we are not using them remain hidden behind the screen of the new Xiaomi smartphone. Despite some initial proclamations, Xioami will not launch the phone with 5G connectivity, but has already made it known that an updated model in 5G will be released in Europe in early 2019.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 3: technical specifications
The Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 has top-of-the-line features with Snapdragon 845 processor supported by a good 10GB of RAM. The internal memory will be 128GB or 256Gb depending on the model that we decide to buy. The battery, on the other hand, is 3,200mAh and equipped with fast charging thanks to Quick Charge 4+ technology. And there is also wireless charging but lacks the 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone will arrive with Android 9 Pie operating system customized by Xiaomi's GUI, the EMUI 10.

As mentioned the Xiaomi smartphone has four cameras in total, the two rear ones, a 12-megapixel main camera with f/1.8 focal aperture and a telephoto lens also 12-megapixel with f/2.4 focal aperture. As for the pop-up cameras, the main one is 24-megapixel while the depth-of-field camera for bokeh and portrait effects is 2-megapixel.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 : availability and pricing
Xiaomi's Mi Mix 3 will be released on November 1, 2018 in China, starting at 3,299 yuan (or $475) for the base model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The plus version with 10GB of Ram and 256Gb of storage, on the other hand, will cost around $720. To know the prices and which models will arrive in Italy we must instead wait a few more weeks. The colors chosen by Xiaomi are: Onyx Black, Jade Green and Sapphire Blue. At the moment it is not yet known if it will arrive in our country and, if so, if it will be sold at physical stores Xiaomi open in Italy.
