Check DSL: What does the availability depend on?

Generally, the availability of the various DSL tariffs in your place of residence depends on the progress of network expansion.With the "Digital Agenda", a project of the German government, an Internet speed of at least 50 Mbit/s was supposed to be available throughout Germany in 2018. 3. If you also want to know at what speed you are currently surfing the Internet, you can find out with the help of a so-called speed test. This measures both the actual download and upload speed of your Internet and, in some variants, also your ping value.

If you perform both the DSL availability test and the speed test in advance of a purchase, you can use it to make a good estimate of which DSL tariff is right for you and with what maximum performance you can surf.
