Huawei P30: How to register

If you are using a Huawei P30, then registering for a Huawei ID has various advantages for you. Among other things, the account with the manufacturer provides you with a cloud service for backing up your data.

Account for the Huawei P30: Register with Huawei

Like most smartphone manufacturers, Huawei offers various services and apps itself. So if you want to do without third-party providers, you can, for example, use Huawei's cloud, which is preinstalled on your smartphone. However, in order for this and some other services to be accessible to you, you first have to register your Huawei P30.

1. Open the settings on your Huawei P30.
2. Now go to the "Huawei ID" menu. This is the name of the Huawei account you want to create.
3. Then select that you want to create a new account and enter all the required data. Select a strong password to better protect your data.
4. Select "Sign in" and follow the instructions to verify your account. This is done via your specified email address or via your phone number.
5. Finally, log in with the account you just created.

After you have successfully registered your Huawei P30, you can use the account for free. You can also choose from special themes in the Design app in addition to the cloud.

Do I absolutely need the Huawei ID?

If you do not want to use the Huawei services, but prefer Google Drive, for example, an account with the manufacturer is not necessary. You can also use the Google services for Play Store and Co.
