Setting up and using Apple Pencil

Setting up an Apple Pencil is easy and can be done at any time. Just make sure your iPad and Apple Pencil have enough battery.

1. Activate Bluetooth on your iPad. This can be found via the Control Center or Settings under "Apps".
2. Remove the cap from your Apple Pencil.
3. Connect the Pencil to the iPad by plugging it into the iPad's Lightning port.
4. Now the "Pairing Request" message will appear on the iPad. Please confirm this by clicking "Pairing".
5. Then unplug the Pencil from the Lightning port of the iPad.
6. The Pencil is now connected. This connection will remain until the Pencil is restarted.
