The Digital Crown is a special component of every Apple Watch, which can be used to perform various functions on the watch. In addition to operation via gestures and touch on the display, actions can also take place via the Digital Crown.

Apple Watch: What you can do with the Digital Crown

The Digital Crown is enhanced with each new model from Apple and new features are added. A list of all possible functions can be found here:

1. Since the fourth generation of the Apple Watch, you can create an electrocardiogram using the Digital Crown and a special app. To do this, place your finger on the crown and let the watch determine the data.
2. Hold down the crown for two seconds in normal mode, you can pass a voice command to Siri.
3. Turning the Digital Crown allows you to scroll across the display and bring various content into focus.
4. Turning the crown back and forth activates the zoom function, through which you can even open apps without tapping on them when in direct focus.

1. Switch to your paired iPhone in the Watch app and go to "My Watch".
